Try face yoga. Done correctly and consistently, it can greatly help the appearance of wrinkles, as it makes you much more aware of how you are using your facial muscles and how that affects your appearance. The end effect is one of a smoother face with a more youthful appearance.
Retin-A is great for lines. But unfortunately a lot of the way our faces age is genetic. I have great skin at 61, but hereditary marionette lines. That where fillers (or boots for the forehead) play a role.
I really enjoy your channel and the great info you provide. I am noticing that you are recommending more expensive products that I do not consider budget. Since you are the budget dermatologist, I would like to see you continue to focus on budget/affordable products. It's truly helpful. 🙂
I understand your point, but I also like hearing about other products as long as they are effective. Everyone’s “budget” is different. Also people ask what she is using and she tells us. If it’s not within your budget, then don’t buy it or ask her for a video on alternatives.
My thoughts exactly. I actually purchased her entire am-pm skincare routine. It wasn't a month later that she posted a whole new video, saying she stopped using Vit C!!! Then showed much more Tula products she was using. 😥 Actually, I noticed Dr Dray and Chris ??, has done the same thing. I guess the money offered to them is just to good to pass up. 🤷♀️😥
Can’t believe how timely this is for me. I am traveling in a Europe and have bought 4 tubes of the Avene lip care. It is less than half the price Than it is in the US. I have used Laniege for 3 years and the Avene outperforms it hands down. I so love your channel. Thank you so much
I would love to see a video about nail care for natural nails from your perspective. My nails have been splitting for no apparent reason despite my best efforts. Thanks.
LOL cleansing balm LOL, gold Old Ponds cleansing cream, followed up with Eucerin Face wash, Dickenson's White Hazel toner the topped off with Lumene day/night cream. I've been using these products from hairline to cleavage, since I was a teenager. I'm way past 60 and look 40.
I agree about cleansing balms. Old fashioned cold cream is still the best at removing makeup but you really have to follow it with washing. I did try a couple of cleansing balms hoping to save a step, but they just don't get rid of makeup thoroughly.
Hi Dr. Locke, I enjoy your videos. I have a request. When you're showing your products, please hold the product still so I can read the bottle, tube, or jar. When you're showing us the product, and it's being moved around too much (twisting, wiggling) it's hard to get a good look at it. I just wanted to mention that, thank you. Have a nice evening. P.S. I ordered the Sparkle Skin Boost Plus 🤞🏻 I'm 64 years old and really starting to see a difference in my hair so I thought I better get working on it. Thanks again for the information.
I’m on isotretinoin pills and suffer from extremely dry lips because of it. The Avene did nothing to my lips in comparison to the Laneige lip sleeping mask. I didn’t want to buy it because of the high price but once I tried it....omg I will never be without it. It saved my lips and it will take forever to finish the jar ❤
I've been using Laneige for years...have NEVER noticed any affect of their sleep mask for lips. As someone who uses long wearing lipstick 7 days a week, every season of the year, I swear by 'Medicated' Chap Stick for overnight repair, especially in the winter. I use it on an as need basis, not every night. It's even great to use thoughout the day, too. I love the super silky texture. It's not oily, heavy or gummy and stays put all night.
I literally just saw someone talking about how misleading it is to have SPF in foundation as you typically need 1/4 teaspoon to get the advertised SPF and usually that is way too much…take care guys
Could you publish more affordable products? I too bought the Vit C and was not aware that you changed your mind on that. I really like the fact that you give the science behind some of the products. That is very helpful for me. I can then look for alternatives on my own, too. Thank you for your videos.
I haven’t watched RU-vid for so long due to super busy life reasons, just discovered your channel tonight and girl I’m obsessed!! This video was SO informative and helped me a lot, I was so close to buying the Elemis balm and this gave me the push I needed! New subscriber here! ❤️
Okay queen I’m literally commenting as I’m watching the rest of the video 🤣 I recently ordered the glow recipe fruit babies bestsellers kit and it included the watermelon dew drops, now I’m SOOOO excited to try them!!!
Dr. Locke, please consider a video to discuss the pro’s and con’s of using moisturizer. Dr. Zein Obagi taught us that using a moisturizer made the skin “lazy”, and it stopped moisturizing itself by not pulling moisture from environment and deeper layers to put moisture where it needs it, etc. I would love to hear your perspective on this issue. Thank you for your videos. 😊
I got the lip mask but I barely used it I found myself going back to my aquaphore … and I love Avene my derm had a ladies day sale and I get it 15 percent off ❤
That laneige destroyed my lips. People always rave about it but it was definitely a miss. I love the dr Dan’s cortibalm. Maybe because I have extremely dry lips.
I LOVE Farmacy cleansing balm the very very best but, just too expensive to use all the time. My everyday balm is by Neutrogena & only $10 @ Walmart. The Elf one leaves too much residue, for me. I’m very oily, mature skin.
I’ve been testing the Revlon oil absorbing stone for a few months now. It’s ok if it’s all I have on hand but, it always picks up the makeup underneath. 😞
I have sooooooo many questions…! Lol 😅 I have been seeing a lot of influencers promoting to use head & shoulders to wash your face during breakouts. Is this safe? Also I need tips on getting rid of old dark spots, scarring on face and body from acne. Any recommendations are so greatly appreciated.
Hi, I’ve been watching your retinoid videos. I have a question. I use retinol regularly. I want to introduce adapalene for anti-aging benefits. How would you recommend I do that? My two primary treatments are retinol and glycolic acid. I alternate the serums at night. In the morning I use a vitamin C. All serums are Serious Skincare brand. I appreciate your help and look forward to hearing from you 🎉
I am looking for a sensorial experience when removing my makeup. Does the oil cleanser you mentioned above fit that description??? Thank so much for the amazing information I'm finding here. Really appreciate.
I tried a few cleansing balms and they just didn't do it for me. I guess sometimes sticking to your routine if it works is a good idea. Really love the la roche posay gentle cleansing and a switch off😉😉 exfoliation cleanser here and there.
Double cleansing 😳 and what you said about this balm on your face not coming off, I don't think I have ever heard of a balm for your face since aren't balms usually sort of greasy and would all bans behave the same way on all types of skin?
Hi Doctor, can you do a video on aging skin other than the face? Ie hands, or décolleté, arms, HANDs. I find that many of my friends and I have similar concerns. I’m 38.
Hi!! I love all of your recommendations but was wondering if you could compare the Skinfix line with some of your more budget products from an ingredient comparison and benefits therein. Skinfix is very expensive... is it worth it or is there something similar that I could use instead. Thank you so much.
Most derms who review this are going to say one pump. You don't need a lot, only a thin film. A lot of retinoid products they use the term "pea size" amount.
How can I repair damaged skin barrier caused by accutane and differin ? My skin is dry and not as bouncy and plump as it used to be. I lost a lot of face volume on my cheeks. I know this is due to the thinning of my moisture barrier and sebum reduction. What can I do to fix this (is it even fixable?) Will subum production eventually return ? My derm prescribed differin right after I stopped accutane. I believe this was a mistake. I used it for about 2 months when I should have left my skin to heal first and rebuild its stratum corneum. Can my skin regain its original thickness ? (I am only 20 years old but but look 10 years older) it's been almost 4 months post accutane
I am a fairly new subscriber and I truly appreciate your channel and info. I would like to request your opinion/recommendation on eyelash growth serums, not just the Rx. one, but OTC options. Thank you!
Have you watched Dr. Anil Rajani's video on lash serums? He tells you which ones are good and which ones to avoid (those with prostaglandins) because they can age the skin around your eyes.
Made in China isn't necessarily the same as sold in China. Animal testing isn't required for products made in China but sold elsewhere. They only require it for products sold in China.
@@marymckinney4472 I don't care about patriotism, and you shouldn't assume everyone on youtube is from the US. Chinese people can buy up as many American farms as people are willing to sell them.
@@ajae... You better care about patriotism. And I don't assume anything per your assumption. If you don't care about the Constitution then you can't speak at all. You can't protest at all. Your voice means nothing under a regime. Move to North Korea. If you don't refer to kim jong un as god, then kids will be taken out of school to witness your public execution. And you better not speak at all in that country. People don't realize the CCP's long standing history of human abuse. So enjoy communism. Don't speak again, your party doesn't allow it.
