That, or they're basically using the remains of a powerful being as a catalyst of some sort, given how Descenders basically has innate compatibility to the elements much like Dragons do.

The only reason I doubt this theory is that there is memory of the sibling within Irmunsul, thus making them part of Teyvat according to the Sumeru storyline. It would be inconsistent to count the twin as a descender then. That said, it is a very interesting take and I can see why you would think of it. Always fun seeing the different takes.

But gnoses exists times ago before Archon war, the twins traveled to Teyvat must be around between Archon war and Khaenriah's destruction.

@@julieannefowler5768 For me though, this strengthens the theory, if you connect this with another theory that the abyss twin already died and reincarnated as a Khaenri'an. This is assuming that all life in teyvat, including the ones not from teyvat (descenders), will go back to the leylines (except for the ones cursed by heavenly principles to not go back there) and reincarnate like Neuvillette did. The problem is, where would the traveler fit in all of this? What I could speculate that the abyss sibling, as a Khaenrian prince/ss, remembering the traveler, tried to summon/find the traveler who was sleeping and was happy that they reunited, and somewhere along the way Khaenriah found forbidden knowledge and tried to use it (much to Pierro's warnings), the heavenly principles was angered and they and the archons have to deal with the abyss, and the twins tried to ran away but the sustainer caught up on them and caught the guilty twin who was probably heavily responsible for all those mess (based on Clothar's expression on finding the twin's identity), twin tries to find traveler again, and something happened to him/her along the way, on which s/he found the truth of the world and about themselves, which made him/her angry at the heavenly principles, cut ties with Dainsleif in the process, but their fate was obscured for some reason. But that's just my speculation, a game speculation.

Basically the Primordial one stole the power of the dragon sovereigns and stored it away and 400 years later he created humans, thousands of years later and right before the archon war, a third descender arrived and was killed (cause of death unknown) then the Primordial one used the third'a corpse to create the gnosis and placed the power that was stolen from the dragon sovereigns in the gnosises, and then had the many gods that romaed the land at the time to fight for them, in the end 8 gods won the war (Mikoto won alongside her twin sister Ei), and Seven gods were given the seven elemental gnosises becoming archons with Ei working as the shadow of her archon sister.

@@Inyxia_ Signora was not a playable model. She bears no resemblance to any of the tall female models we have today. She never stood up straight nor followed any of the 4 animation riggings. She had a unique model, tailor made for her. Which made me realize that she was never going to be playable.

Apparently they aren’t, which is super odd. I was wondering the same thing, even started thinking that the 3rd descender was the the sibling which would really suck considering all went through. I know we’ve seen the sibling before, but main times we do are in strange places where could have just been an illusion. Like the caribert quest

In the Sumeru Archon Quest, Nahida says it does not seem like the other sibling is a descender, Im hoping the next Dainslef quest gives us answers.

Probably will see him in snehznaya and neuvilette will come and tsaritsa will try and use the gnosis to give back all of the dragons their authority’s back

No it doesn’t feel like an act, everything about Paimon seems and feels genuine. It’s either she doesn’t know or remember who or what she is or she’s just hiding it but not so much as deceiving us in a bad way

Every archon has a gnosis all given by celestia

@@jamesvales9512 celesta created the gnosis out of the 3rds remains and then stored the power of the seven sovereign in them then gave it to the archons

The only problem with that theory is that the game has constantly mentioned how the Tsaritsa has turned against Celestia is starting her own war against it. She lost her “Love” during the cataclysm when multiple Archons died. The only thing we don’t know is the exact reason she is rebelling against Celestia.

I think 3rd descender, and most probably the traveler (4th descender) is a special case as their body is capable of storing elemental energy. 1st descender is probably primordial one and 2nd descender is the second who came who war with the 1st descender
