When another EV overtakes you just after you overtook it, typically, it's a race to the charger - who will be first and might get the last available charger! It's nothing todo with showing you that they can go faster. The most annoying thing is being overtaken 2 km from the charger and you know it's not a lot of stalls there and you're low on juice...

That would be cool to do the same loop with other EVs to compare.

What do you think guys Skoda Enyaq 85x ( AWD ) can do the same range with consumption 24,5kWh/100 ?

In reality how would this work out.? Say you are doing a road trip in Europe and one of the days you are trying do some distance. You start in the morning fully charged. Then U drive for 2 hours and take a coffee break. During the break U charge for 15 minutes. Then U drive for another 2 hours ending with a lunch where U charge for 45 minutes. Then U repeat the above ending at your destination for dinner. If U do the math, would it work with an Enyaq 85?

Very nice test thanks ! Although, nobody will drive from 100 to 0%, most of the people will eventually go down to 10%, which means something around or less than 300km realistic...not great not terrible on the highway at this speed. But coming from an ICE this hits hard, real hard.

why does it hit hard ? do you often drive 300km pr trip ?
@orlovsskibet

Real hard? THat you have to stop for half an hour every 200 ish km? THen you don't know hard.

I would have expected at least 250miles (400km) range from the newer motor/software and the not particularly cold weather. i guess the public charging costs are lower in other parts of the world, in the UK they are crazy expensive, so the extra range is preferred!

I have driven 3000 km with Enyaq 80x so far and haven't even used CCS charger yet.

@@wassap786 UK electricity prices are extortionate because the energy companies are allowed to rip-off the public. Gas and oil prices dropped around September 2022, the government has just allowed companies like Centrica to price gouge for ages. Look up a historic graph of gas and oil wholesale prices. If it wasn’t for that the UK would have sensible electricity prices.

Will you test charging speeds with this car as well?

You could always choose the "Coupe" for lower Autobahn consumption 🤷

@@letauch EV Database has it at 1.5-1.8 kWh at 110 km/h already 🤷

Every video i have watched that model Y is ballbark same consumption with Enyaq. I also have seen several videos that Tesla is reporting less energy used when charging aka more hidden consumption.
@lollerte
@lollerte 7 месяцев назад
And do you have any data from your Model Y doing the same 130 km/h test that shows the enyaq is “extremely bad” ?? Battery Life (same yt channel) did the same test with a model Y LR AWD where it managed a consumption of 246 wh/km (it was a bit colder than at the enyaq test). So according to his data, it is very similar to an enyaq and not extremely bad…
