For people thinking does it void the warranty - It will if the service centre find the logs. On my recent visit to the workshop, one particular software update was not getting installed. Upon asking the reason, CRM said that your car is coded from outside and that's the reason this software is not getting installed. Maybe this argument was baseless but I got no reason to prove it wrong and they made me sign a document that "my car is coded and it's the reason of software not getting installed". Moreover I was expecting support from the person who coded the car (won't take the name), as he told that you would face no problems, but he also refused to talk to the executives and solve the technicalities. So overall if you want to get this done, do it at your own risk.
