There's no accounting for taste, I think the retro look front end is a masterpiece of design, I haven't been this excited to see a new car in a long time, Edgar Allan Poe wrote there is no beauty, without some strangeness in the proportion, he would have loved a spin in this car I'm sure.

They are trying to express an inexpressible ingenuinity of Skoda experience, engineering and ideology which is hard to duplicate using any of the high quality components of higher deemed brands.thus an attempt to achieve the impossible or intangible or a challenge to the other auto manufactures to match skoda .Skoda is the sum of parts of all others which is why it is greater than the sum of its parts hence intangible.
Stunning!A lot of people are focusing on its parts from various VW group cars,whilst forgeting Ferrari used to have FIAT parts everywhere.....Low volume makers have always done this.Aston Martin used rear lights off a Scirroco,TVR used Fiesta rear lights,We could play this game all day.I love the fact someone went out and ACTUALLY built something beautiful.Could you do it?

Let me state few points to express my disagreement to your pointless comments, as you don't have any knowledge about anything, except Multipla. 1) This car refers to legendary 110 R Skoda, so does the design. Overall look is just clean, not beautiful, but definetly not ugly too, and yet it's different from other sports cars- and that just isn't wrong. 2) It didn't come from a big and famous company that has long history and huge experiences. 3) It's the only attempt of making a new era 110 R, many would appreciate it. 4) It's just something new, car culture should grow, such "concepts" or just unusual designs can evolve to become better and better over years, it's about progress. 5) Seeing it on your own eyes would give you way different feel. 6) There are many pointless and laughable cars which you don't even know about, Nissan Murano CrossCabriolet is perfect example. 7) Forget that this car is built on chassis of R8, and has its engine- Well, R8 have proven well through years, so this just gives + points to R200. 8) It's a unique car, price corresponds to it. Thats it, now i would love to see some valid arguments.
Im American and i just found the car. Yes its much like an R8 but i absolutely love this car its beautiful. for the first time ever I find myself wishing Skoda was sold in the United States because if so I would do my best to acquire one.

Mám k tomu autu tri zásadé dotazy. Prvý je tá kde si to auto zaradiť lebo určite nemôžeme povedať že je to od zákaldu nové auto. Je to z časti niečo ako replika škodovky ale na inej karosérií to sa bežne robí ked si chce niekto postaviť repliku superšportu že si vyberie cenovo priatelne auto a nasledne na tom stavá to je to opačne vybrali si superšport aby na nom postavili ludové vozidlo ktoré vlastne neexistuj preto že je to už podla nového návrhu dizajnéra. Tu sa dostávame k druhemu dotazu či sa dá to auto považovať za tak celistvé dizajnérske dielo ked bol jeho návrh podla mna obmedzovaný proporciami a charakterom karoséria Audi R 8 A posledná vec prečo je odkaz na ludové športové vozidlo socializmu realizovaný na nemeckom superšporte ktorý navyše možno predčí pôvodnú cenu auta z ktorého vychádza.

+Hordeman89 I like Skoda (I even drive Octavia RS), but I fully agree... this is by far most ugly car anyone could produce. Compared to this, even Fiat Multipla looks relatively nice.

failed , dodge and ford got it right with the challenger and mustang, this doesnt look much like the s110r and in its own right its as ugly as sin yes i have a s110r, a modern version of this is still possible, not here though
the front of the car is plain butt-ugly. I get them wanting to make it look like the classic Skoda but they did it totally wrong... it almost looks like some Russian design!
