Damn this 1.5 TSI engine is so damn awesome, the power it packs is just amazing and same goes for the torque output, it’s just heavenly and that acceleration is godly!! Again, you and Autocar uploaded the review of this 1.5 TSI Slavia at the same time but you all very well whom I would prefer watching :D I really hope this car makes it to the list of the top 10 bestselling cars next month.
If you drive sedately, TSI engines would return reasonable good mileage. If you want pure power, tsi does not care about fuel economy but returns unmatchable performance as compared to similar sized Diesel engine.
@@hashikali3828 nah I have to disagree. Even when driven sedately (70km/h in the night in 6th gear with AC on and minimal traffic) the maximum my 1.0 polo tsi manual returns is 22 kmpl. If you drive normally in highways it gives 15 ish. Inside city the most sedate driving only gives up to 12-13. If you drive like a hooligan getting 10 is a struggle which is expected. The polo takes additional petrol to heat up the engine which grossly reduces mileage on short trips. This mileage is similar to my dad's Cruze which has twice the displacement, 1.5 times heavier and powerful, says a lot about how much better diesel is suited here. I'd have gone and bought a polo GT TDI if it was available lol.
@@chamankudmarbettu5675 TSI engines are purely power machine rather than mileage. Can’t be compared with 2.0 Vcdi engines since polo has 1.0 ltr petrol engine that produces nice 175 nm torque and 108 hp power but you should try compare with (1 lit) 935 cc Diesel engine of Chevrolet beat that produced only 57 hp and 150 nm torque. Cruze is a fuel economical with its 2.0 lit diesel whereas 2.0 tsi octavia that produces 188 hp of power is purely a power machine. In case of Octavia 2.0 vrs goes up to 245 ps power. GT tdi is slower when compared GT TSI. If you want good mileage, then tdi is a choice but no more in market.
No doubt it’s one of the best engines available in the segment. But suspension plays a spoilt sport when driven by an enthusiast. Good for highways, not too good in the city (manual gears box) you need to constantly work the gears or stay in lower gears. Other than the engine everything is just OK and not the old Skoda standards.
For me this is a perfectly balanced package. It gives driving pleasure, yes lowered and a stiff suspension would have been nicer, but can compromise on that considering I can use this as a practical family car as well. Skoda has done an excellent job here.
I'm a big fan of skoda . Every time they relase a new model they just amaze everyone . Missing TDI engine tough . I own Octavia 1.9 TDI engine 2002 model . It still performs bonkers even today .
I have 1.6 AT Rapid 8 years with day 1 style performance still. I drove Slavia too liked the immense punch of this car but many things of this car has drawbacks. The plastics to interior design to many. But still I am okay with Slavia. Love you Skoda !!
Having a First gen Rapid 1.6 TDI , I feel Skoda should Definitely Revive the TDI engine with Slavia (I know they won't ) but if they come back ,it will sell like hot cakes ❤️ . if you see this comment @Skodaindia consider bringing back TDI 🔥🔥

I'd say if you like it go for it because it's a good deal. I have a polo tsi manual. It has rattling noise just after 2000kms. The overall quality of polos have taken a hit. If you're looking for mileage it won't give you mileage. Even when driven sedately at 70km/h with cruise control and minimal traffic in 6th with AC doesn't give move than 23. Normally in highways will give you 15 ish and in city maximum of 12-13. In short trips of less than 3 kilometres it doesn't give much more than 10-11 because the engine takes fuel to heat the engine up and also has a high idle (1400rpm) setting up to 50°C. Also recommended fuel for the 1.0 and 1.5 engines is the 95 octane fuel which is available at Indian oil bunks with xp95 fuel at about 4-5 rupees premium.
at 10:13 if the 1.5 litre tsi is to get some cosmetic changes and other extra bits, well, we have to wait for the virtus' launch on 8th march or dream of a monte carlo version of the slavia, which would've been better.
The 1.0 TSI the in the slavia is enough for the segment standards and could be the perfect car for 90 percent of the buyers... For the 16.2 lac ex showroom price (2.2 lacs over the same MT 1.0 variant) skoda could have given a stiffer suspension, 17 inch wheels, driving modes, rear disc brakes and a heavier steering... it would have been a perfect enthusiast car not only in this segment but also in a segment above... 2.2 lac premium over the 1.0 just for the better engine and nothing more feels slightly overpriced...
Hi Faisal, Did you notice the STOP signs, that you blasted past. Since you have such huge viewership, wouldn't it be nice to bring in some driving culture to our country by being an example(Applicable to all motor vloggers and reviewers), slowing down atleast when we see a stop sign, even if you don't come to a complete halt.
I think a Skoda Slavia RS with 170 HP priced, a bit more than like the Virtus is good. Here, we are getting 1 car with 2 different looks. And honest thing the Virtus looks sporty like anything. And these cars are a target for a younger audience cause if someone from mid 40s wants a Sedan under 20 lakhs, they'll more likely go for a City. The new Verna, Virtus and Slavia are enthusiast picks (most of the time). Slavia and Virtus are just the same so doesn't make a good sense. Only if, Slavia gets a RS version like Virtus has a GT with bit more hp and slightly increment in price. That car would be a very good choice under 25 lakhs.
Skoda and Volkswagen is always best brand car because engine performance is outstanding performance in every variant of engine. I can understand sales performance is low due to expensive and less marketing on before 2022 but car is made outstanding quality and all rounder car which people never face issue in these car. Trust me I will buy first car between skoda and Volkswagen.😍💘💘
