Parked my 2002 Octavia vrs next to one of these today and it makes my car look tiny! Was looking into buying a 2 year old Octavia vrs tdi for around £12k but you can pick a 2 year old superp estate with the same engine and power output and milage for a similar price, bit of a no brainer really considering the car you're getting for the money. Well done skoda!
So you get a car that's made in the same factory as the Audi A6. It's shares the A6's base as well. Volkswagen group parts and the size of a phaeton. And that for relatively little money. Sounds like a good deal to me!
Help, I need to decide, VW Passat or Superb Estate. I am after the Sat nav with leather model with Auto box, 170ps diesel, test drove both models but Skoda badge is a worry ! Passat seems better finished (new model) but is smaller in the back seats.
@Raune88 They still offer the 2.0 litre TDI DPF. I am sceptical about the longevity and reliability of the 1.6 due to the size of he car. I do enjoy the car a lot, though with diesel prices now at an all time high here in N.Ireland I wouldn't call it cheap by any stretch. Better value and reliablilty than the likes of Mondeo and Insignia though.
@skorob2010 Thanks I ordered one but waiting on dlelivery date! 3-6 months depending on spec! Will hang on though. Hoepfully will have it in time for the summer camping...
@skorob2010 OK Factory has made batch of Amythst and Metallic black, 170 disel estates with full leather end auto box, and some new extras ie sun blinds etc thrown in, I have ordered one of those(black) its on its way delivery end of May! Bespoke car not ready until November! Cheers for help.
@TheForza1000 as for them being dull i like the styling it beats some other mainstream brands out there some styling from other manufacturers is boring but skodas look sharp and fresh imo if there any cars you should be winging about and i would be following with you is anything from China including BYD, Geely, Chery, Great Wall Motors and Shuanghuan. These cars are old tecnology, bad design and unsafe just youtube search chinese car death trap! as for skodas they are safe, stylish and practical
@TheForza1000 OLD skodas were skips on wheels they were a czech brand with a very low reputation but OPEN them eyes that are blinded by what was SKODAS are not SKODAS anymore they are VW at thier heart but a separate brand in their own right especially now styling and interior is controlled seperately Like i said keep it coming your comments are like pieces of paper on a tank you can hit me as much you like with them but it wont make a bit of difference and like i said i wont quit till you do
@TheForza1000 comparing a new skoda to a lada riva is like comparing a PS3 or XBOX360 and maybe even the WII to an Atari 2600, time moves on and so does technology and design you are basing your opinion in the past when skoda was not part of VW do you like say for example the Passat as a car? if you do then you should like the superb as under the skin they are the same car you are the one doing all the moaning to other people about how crap a GERMAN designed car is which is just baffling to me?
