How did you get it? I have yet to see the main named pawn for the leather. HelloBabyOldBay is me in game if you are donating these hulls. Thank you in advance. Safe seas!
Great Build i just don't like to play the Twin Winch so i have long nines on front port the dardas starboard zamzama's as it is a all deck and gives a nice burst with 7 cannons on the back firebomb 3 and the leopold's 3 armor royal custodian with repair kit 1's to keep the perk up with a lil down time furni port/star 10% dmg Megaphone bombard 19% and the schematics never had a problem so far and its alot a fun will surely try it out. Kindly Regards
I think the ouroboros is worded wrong. It heals 15% of lost brace strength as hull health. If it gave you 15% of hull health back everytime you braced it’ll break the game easily. So the max hull health you can receive from it is 3750 in the snow (snow brace strength 25000) . But that’s at the cost of your full brace strength. Might be worth it for a full tank build if there was something to increase brace strength recovery.
Yeah that makes a lot more sense, thank you. Ubisoft really need to change the description so it matches what it actually does. I agree it would be insanely powerful if it did what it said in description haha
Now that my Sambuk is nearing completion im starting to work on my barque. I started in this season so im trying to get items still that are recommend. Could you tell me where i get the twin winch ballista and the scrapper station though?
The Barque is a great ship. You can get the twin winch ballista from either of the black markets in Sainte-Anne or Telok Panjarah. And the scrapper station blueprint can be bought from the Parujar's Cry outpost. Let me know if you have any other questions :)
Yeah I agree, I’ve seen people saying that the description is wrong but when translated back to French is actually makes sense. Hopefully they can atleast fix up the description for us
@@gusomajic something else, the Barque actually has the same speed as the brig, think about it, how often do you actually get to go downwind? And that 18 knots only triggers downwind. The rest of the time, the Barque is doing 15 knots, which is what the brigantine does most of the time.
@@Turkeysammich3000 yeah I do rarely see it hit 18 knots but it’s only for a few seconds usually (unless I’m using water). It’s a very close speed comparison. I’ve tested it against brigantines and they slowly pull away
@@Turkeysammich3000I'm constantly doing 20 knots on my Brig with the wind at my back and drinking water. However, since the wind is usually against us for some odd unrealistic reason, I'm doing between 15 and 18 knots. My friend's Barque doesn't see those knots on base speed.
I just tried this tonight and went for another kill of thr ghost ship trying for sails and my hp never went down it was crazy, I could sit still and chunk it down. The fight in my brig usually takes 10+ minutes this took under I think from all the weak point damage
You need to collect scales from the zamaharibu sea monster. It will be reintroduced back into the game in a couple of weeks time. You can buy the blueprint from the Hunts Master in Lanitra. Using the scales and monster teeth you can then craft the Ouroboros :) Or some people are still selling them. I might have a spare one for you
For now, the Barque is best used for support healing in a Co-op fight or running your PO8 routes. I solely use it for running PO8 routes, adding all the stamina buff armor and furniture. I never run out of stamina between stops, and the Barque maneuvers better than the Snow or Brig in those tight places with narrow rivers. What few pirates you encounter can easily be dealt with, and you can save on repair kits while the ship heals itself on the way to your next stop.
@@cotg8029 I found a good group of people from my region to play with from Facebook groups. If you want some others to play with I recommend having a look :)
Thanks for the build! I just got the blueprint last night, now I need to find some precision drill bits so I can build it. Do you, by chance, still have a extra Ouroboros? I'm fairly new to the game and don't have the materials. I've been trying to grind the season pass in my spare time. Still need 39 more smugglers token to complete, so hopefully I can get done in time! 😅👍 Have a good one!
You’re welcome! I have spare precision drilling bits you can have, and I’ll farm more monster scales so I can craft more ouroboros armour :) You can do it in time! Just remember to sink any ship you so for the maximum amount of infamy!
Hmmm now that you mention it, I would say it should be Demi cannon works. Because when you go to craft the zamzama it is in the Demi cannons category. Good spot!
@@gusomajic thanks to you. I got the barque today and built it like you recommended. I only miss "la potence" cuz i need some rare mats but it'll me another goal :) this ship is great!
I think it works as intended but not accurately described. You restore 15% of the damage your shield takes during bracing seems like what it consistently does.
@@mbsylve2 yeah I’ve heard the misunderstanding is through the bad description. I don’t feel we still get a full 15% from the brace, because with the snow it should be about 10,000 health right?
@@gusomajic i think in playing with the snow and oroboros that it might be percentage of damage or percentage of brace strength. Not hull health at all.
1:30 ot is not intended to work that way. It repairs 15% of your bracing shield HP. So it works correctly. For barks its about 700 hp. For snow its about 3k HP. This shield is best for Tanks. The other way it would be unfair. You would never ever have a chance to beat someone in pvp, especially the snow.
Twin Winch in the front, Dardanelles on sides and back, Leopold III in aux. This is the way. If you want to use the Carronades that bad use a Brig with Leopold III and Scurlock Chasers so you can break sails and ram which will instantly flood. Then you can swap the hull health furniture for ram damage. Everything else is spot on though.
Yeah I was testing out the front powder kegs and definitely liked the power it gave. I’m looking at putting together a full flooding build so I’ll definitely use some of your ideas :)
@@gusomajic Much appreciated. Not sure how the transaction's supposed to be done, though, since I play on PS5 and I'm not too familiar with the Ubisoft's own things.
@@jaymalamute5730 if you press the menu button when you’re in game, you’ll see a button for social (maybe R3 or triangle) then you can add ubi names there. In case you can’t find it what is your ubi name?
tip for smugglers pass if you hold them heads in your hold fill up on cannon balls, go out of the safe area level 10 ships come for you each one has 160 XP rewards this benefits the pass giving you points to spend it helped me unlock the barque.
Yeah I did the same! As well as doing standard orders at the same time, so many rogues would spawn in too. All giving 160 infamy as well. I accept 6 orders at a time so it’s crazy and lots of fun
With the ouroboros armor the German translation to English is it reatores 15% damage taken while bracing. If that's the case then it is working as intended so I wouldn't use it for that purpose, however it still has great defensive stats so its still worth using
@@gusomajic the main damage type most commonly used by both players and AI are explosive, flooding, and fire, which the ouroboros provides the best protection from. I use it on my brig and haven't died once even fighting la peste, it's op
black prince with riggin station is way better for a barque, twin winch 600% is not working as intended, so a great springald III is better, faster means more damage output
The Oroboros armor is next on my list of acquisitions (already have Barque and Sambuk). There's also been power level changes in the version that will be going live soon, so hopefully these tips are still valid.
It’s a fun armour piece to play with, it’s great for a lot of scenarios. Ive checked out the patch notes and this build should do even better. They buffed a lot of the weapons gear scores
I think the royal custodian would be a better armor here with the repair kit one spam. Also the scrapper station seems kinda wasted aswell, water tank feels a lot better.
Royal custodian armor is trash compared to the true tank build homie! Also how can scrapper station be a waste? You do know the healing on the barque only does what 250 health a second it's good but not as good as you think considering there's shit in the game that melts everyone's hulls like hot knife through butter! Considering all ships take the same damage their is no ship in the game that has any mitigation towards damage. The only thing that effects that is bracing and armor that's it! Having 50k health ain't shit if you can't mitigate the damage.
@@6Vlad6Tepes6 bruh you sound like the gamer that drops anchor and fights standing still letting everything hit you, I prefer the water tank Major furniture and my thumbs to mitigate damage, only time I get pressed really bad is when some lame brig uses the blue flame + Zama ram build. Other than that bracing and kits keep me toped off, wish we had a decent 1v1 system to test build but if you have a helm wager up we can Fersure throw hands?
@@LuciferosDad nope I'm always moving while I tank& deal damage. I'm a heavy support role player not someone who stands there with shield and that's it nope. Here's an example if you play elder scrolls online I'm a tank stamina DPS dragon knight build. Able to take the hits while I unleash as much damage as possible. But anyways I use a special tank build on my snow that allows to have 120 brace stamina reduction and has 170% brace strength recovery so that I can keep my shield up when necessary then unleash damage as much as possible.
I cover the furniture pieces used at 3 minutes into the video. I’m using; scrapper station, la potence schematics, ballista works (or culverins elemental furniture depending on front weapon used), front powder kegs and the double planked hull
@@gusomajic wow thanks. Should be on soon. With recent update, what’s best way to farm for silver as my manufactures are lvl 6 and now it drains my bank compared to before lol. Only got red isle and few from west
@@leeburrage4023 currently the best way I have found to farm silver is to accept fort plunders from big helm map in your helm room (I forget the name of the orders). But these orders can give you around 500 sugar cane/tobacco/poppy’s etc and then you turn them into gold skull rum/silver snuff and sell it to scurlock or the lady from telok penjarah for massive amounts
Yeah it would definitely do even better in PvP as severe damage hurts players more than PVE enemies. I really wanted to put basilisks 3s on it instead but it dropped my level down to 11. Thank you for your support!
@@gusomajic Level drop to 11 isn't so bad. Have you tried Zam's all around? Works great for the Sambuk. And supports increased crew attacks. I'll have to try this out. :)
@@ThorSparks I kept hearing mixed comments on the levelling system but apparently it only really affects you if enemies are 3 or more levels above you. I’ve done zams on both sides but not front and back all at the same time. Definitely hits hard!
@@gusomajic Yes there are only a few enemies which will punish you for not being lvl 12. There is a fort and the new sea monster which are level 14. If you are not farming those then level 11 will not suffer the 75% reduction in damage dealt and will be fine.
@@shepherd76 I wish Ubisoft explained this a bit better to everyone. Most people find the level system a bit confusing. Thanks for clearing it up though
