Full lyrics (from what I could decipher through the sound effects): Beans, beans, the musical fruit The more you eat, the more you tootThe more you toot, the better you feelLet's have beans for every meal! Beans, beans, the musical fruit The more you eat, the more you tootThe more you toot, the better you feelLet's have beans for every meal! Just play your horn and make it toot That SBD oughta make it poot Now give a cheer, let's give a hootWe gotta love them beans as the musical fruit! Beans, beans, the musical fruit The more you eat, the more you tootThe more you toot, the better you feelLet's have beans for every meal! Beans, beans, the musical fruit The more you eat, the more you tootThe more you toot, the better you feelLet's have beans for every meal!
I liked believing this being about the gross physicality of a pathological food binge through a sung, deadpan, and self-deprecating internal-monologue of Klaymen's.
I kept getting stuck at the same spot as a kid and I wish I could play it today to see if I can get past it. I think it was around the 6th world and possibly had lots of wires and platforming, but I could be wrong.
@@hootfat Well, more or less. I actually found out a secret code by accident when I tapped the shoulder buttons in tune with the menu music. It led to a level _before_ the standard first level and had a ton of goodies.
I used to own a copy of this game that was so scratched up that this scene was skipping at like 2 frames a second and it actually softlocked the game by looping "the more you eat the more you toot" with the same looping animation of Klaymen eating an infinite amount of beans and its honestly one of the funniest fucking things I've ever seen in any videogame and it was completely unintentional
Probably one of the biggest WTFs in gaming after Earthworm Jim, a series that was also created by Doug TenNapel. I laughed at a lot of toilet humor growing up, but DAMN! Where was I when this came up? Pretty sure I would've had laughing fits for a month straight if I played this as a shortie...
I have never played it, though Jim was my go to video game during whole childhood. I realized Klaymen is from the same artist only recently and bought a copy of ebay in no time after that. It is like living 20 years not knowing that there were more movies after Jurassic park 1. Same feel, same great art style.
Skullmonkeys is my favorite 2D game on Playstation. It's amazing that the game is so little known, it's great. On the other hand, I am happy to know a game that few know. I had bought the new game a little before the release of Playstation 2, it was not expensive but nobody wanted it because the future was Playstation 2, 3D, DVD. I don't regret having bought it and carefully preserved it, it is still in new condition.
Till this very day myself being a 34 year old man. Finding the happy place in my mind amongst life and it’s eternally hardships this will occasionally enter my mind and make me smile and laugh and remember the treasures of life and child hood. This game was so much fun
To those who are saying you were surprised it wasn't more popular, I didn't even know this game existed until a week or two ago, and I loved the first game to death. Had it been called The Neverhood: Skullmonkeys, I would have at least had a better chance of finding it over the years, or even when it first came out.
I remember my first travel to Dubai with my older brother and that was the first game he picked up at a game store. This scene will live with me forever.
I always thought it was "Beans beans the musical fruit, the more you eat, the more you toot, the more you toot, the better you feel, lets have beans for every meal."
Pasarán más de mil años de sueños pero cada vez que vuelva a ver este gag, me seguiré riendo a lágrima viva como el primer dia hace ya tanto tiempo en mi extinta PSX. Grande Mr. TenNapel!!!
Thanks for posting this i have not seen this in a long time i played this when i was a friend's house, but the game did not work well, because of the disc being scratched
lol ... Beans, beans, the musical fruit. The more you eat, the more you toot. The more you toot, the better you feel. So let's eat beans for every meal! skullmonkey was a great game , especially for its stop-motion animations!
