I finally made it over here,I love serenity sue and face’s of the forgotten and your videos are great, I love and appreciate what you all do. Ireland is so beautiful.
Places For The Past is good too! A Scottish fellow tours cemeteries in Scotland & UK. He really does show the stones details for a long time so you can see them. Boots Mc Tee also has a nice cemetary site in Uk
Imagine how beautiful that church looked in its glory days! It is so tantalizing to get so close to these skeletons, but just out of reach! Another good explore. Thanks guys.😊👍
I found you through serenity sue and found her through faces of the forgotten. There was a police officer who once took a statement from me while investigating a crime and upon learning I enjoy walking through and exploring cemeteries acted as if I was a dangerous freak. 😂 He responded as if he’d never heard of anybody who enjoys old cemeteries and reading the stones. Look! There’s a whole community of us. Maybe I’m not so bizarre after all. My dad died when I was 3 and I grew up playing in the huge wooded Victorian cemetery where he’s buried as my mom tended his grave. I learned young to face death and stare it in the face. Instead of being afraid of the dead I appreciated that they were once warm and breathing like I and I became fascinated with the lives they lived and the history they lived through. And apparently I’m not alone! I’m enjoying your channel very much.
It's half past 2 in the morning, on a drizzling cold night and I couldn't think of anything I would rather do than to watch my two favorite Irish cemetery historians. Bless you both. You warm my heart with your spirits.
Thank you Serenity Sue and Irish eyes thoroughly enjoy your guys vlogs the Irish stone work is so beautiful the Irish styled cemeteries are gorgeous the shrine to our Lady is stunning thank you both love and light from NZ
So sad these churches have decades and now are leaving this earth makes me thank about all the souls that has entered. So lovely . Thank you keep it up 👍
What a lovely old Church and Graveyard this is. That Church would have been beautiful in its first years of being built, and such lovely surroundings too. Amazing architecture on those mouseleums. Thank you Irish eyes and your assistant torch Lady for this day Serenity Sue. Its sad that a lot of those grave stones cannot be read anymore, so much history lost now. Blessings to you both 💕🇦🇺
I just subcribed to your channel. I'm coming from FOTF channel, cemetery man channel, and miss Serenity Sues channel. I love watching those beautiful cemeteries there in the old country of Ireland 🇮🇪. I'm liking your contents my friend.
You like your graveyard explorations IE. -I do too. So much to be learned and old lost stories teased out. I have wandered round most of the ancient graveyards in and around Belfast. So much history........Best wishes from ole' Belfast and the Castlereagh hills.
Like 112 Graveyards are becoming a new trend on youtube and tiktok now. Pity the holes were 2 small to look in hi serenity sue loved sues last video off the Open cofins great job 👍
I stumbled upon your page, great vids and lot of good info too. It is sad that several of the cemeteries and graves have been left to go into disrepair. I have a suggestion to make it easier to view inside the crypts, add a fiber optic bore scope with light to your phone. They are really cheap online from the retailer that begins with an 'A'
What another beautiful place. Love the old church and the very old graves and the skulls in the old crypt. My ancestors, the Rabb's are from County Cork and came to America and settled in Pennsylvania and became quite successful. My 7th great grandfather was in the Revolutionary War here and died at King's Mountain. Later on, some of my Rabb family helped to settle Texas (the Old 300). I hope someday to visit Ireland and see all the beauty and magic of your beautiful land. Thanks for sharing!
It's great to see both you and Serenity Sue together in this video, and I'm amazed at the size of the one monument, and the other crypts! I especially like the ironwork on those fences, just beautiful, guys, and very peaceful. I always thought I would want to eventually be in a crypt or mausoleum, but with time, materials break down. Not sure I'd want my bones exposed like that😬!
Wow some big monuments and very old crypts.👍. I love how some of the grass is lush and green. I really enjoyed this one Irish eyes and sue. Take care guys. Love, respect and positivity always. ✌🕯💜🙏. Neita james.
Your cemeteries are so beautiful, and I'm guessing the art of building those enduring stone walls (fences) made their way over here . I wondered where that talent came from, and they look like they will last forever. I appreciate the time you and Serenity Sue take to show and explain each tombstone, and read the inscriptions. I'm wondering, are your tombstones are granite or limestone? Most of our pioneer cemeteries have tombstones made from limestone, which do not last "the test of time". Thank you both for all the work you're doing.
Beautiful adventure Sir. I really appreciate the beautiful carvings in every headstones.Surely you have a great culture that gave influence into it... There was an old Irish song that I learned " Down by the Sally Gardens" , great song and i found out that it was written by Sir William Butler Yeats. I don't know if it is permissible for you to take us there where he is resting now but i hope we can visit it soon. thank you again sir
I hope you get to visit Yeats' grave. There is something special about standing there and reading his immortal lines carved into his tombstone. They make a very fitting epitaph.
Hi, Sue That was one of the best cemetery videos I’ve seen on you tube. The other was an old cemetery that was very over grown and a bit spooky when you heard something as you went through a group of trees (at least I think that was you). Anyway, regarding the nameless crypt with the hole in the wall in amongst the large oak trees, surrounded by the fence. Will you please keep us informed if you manage to find out who it belonged to? I’ve decided to subscribe because I really like the way you talk and it feels like we have your company and are right there with you 😁👍.
Wonderful Irish Eyes! I'm sorry it has taken two days to get over to watch. I've been busy. I finally have time to throw a bit of turf on the fire, have a pint and watch.
Thx SS and GV. That was beautiful! And that church From the 1400’s? Incredible. Are there any local community groups that would volunteer to clean the headstones back to their former glory? They’re in the USA. What a difference it makes. It’s all environmentally friendly products.
Obviously, the coffins were broken during the scuffle that erupted when the vampire hunter placed the White cloth on the handle. He thought it would keep the vampires in their coffins but he was wrong. That's the vampire hunter's skull on the floor. Takeaway: ALWAYS do a silver steak to the heart.
The "crowns" on the monument are coronets, and I could tell they represented a viscount. According to Google, "Vereker" is the family name of the Viscounts Gort, so the tomb must have belonged to one of them...perhaps the 2nd Viscount, who died in 1842?
I was working on my family tree this morning and came across this: the William Crain family from county Down, Province of Ulster, Ireland. Do you ever visit cemeteries in that area of Ireland? If so, please let me know. And Thanks for all that you do in memory of those who have passed before us. (* I have another question, on some of the records of this Man, I found that some of them say 'Sir' before the first name, and the word 'Lady' before his Wife's name. Does that have any meaning or significance in Ireland?
🙇🏻♀️💭 My paternal homeland….even the cemetery has lush grass and the beautiful Irish stonework. I always love hearing our Irish tongue spoken. Thank you. #ISTANDWITHKUWAIT #PRAYERSFORKUWAIT
@@GraveVisitations, Have you watched any videos on the “Sidestep Adventures” channel? They find some REALLY off-the-beaten -path cemeteries….some from the 1800’s. I won’t say any more, as I don’t want to ruin your experience.
Beautiful cemetery. I love the really old headstones and how beautifully they are carved. It truly amazes me how in the USA only a few old cemeteries have these kind of headstones. Thank you for another fantastic video tour.
Mausoleums, Crypts, tombs, seems any structure new or old succumbs to time. 1902 etc .. These structures are only a little over 120+ years old and there cracked , weathered and in ruins. Imagine in another 100 years if there still there. When they say forever rest in peace ( RIP) , the only way forever means to me is simply cremation. That way in 100 years my bones won’t be exposed and I will truly, hopefully be in peace. Irish Eyes, Serenity Sue, Thank you for all the time and interesting material. Stay safe . As Sue seemed to catch one time an EVP. Maybe have a recorder on while exploring some of these crypts? You never know what you may hear. Stay safe. Paul, St. Petersburg, Fl
Vereker name on vault - Of uncertain meaning but of Flemish (Dutch) origin. It was borne by a First Minister of Brabant in the 16th century and was established in the county of Limerick Ireland in the later 17th century possibly as a result of migration due to religious persecution.
