Fun fact: Disney planned to make a series following the event of this movie, they even had the main kid cast sign on to do the series when they signed in for the movie. But a disappointing box office made them cancel those plans. Though years later through reairings on the Disney Channel the movie grew an audience and became a cult classic

The sequel would have been titled Save U (Save University) and featured the characters from Sky High graduating from high school and attending college. In March 2024, Sky High director Mike Mitchell still expressed interest in a sequel, but pointed out that since Disney bought Marvel, they only see them as their superhero output. He has stated that he would like to do a Sky High inspired project set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Warren was played by Stephen Strait. This was only his second acting role. He did a cover of the song 'One Thing Leads to Another' for Sky High. He was also in a movie called The Covenant with Sebastian Stan. It's hokey but a fun film. You should check it out.

Danielle Panabaker (plant girl) became a crush of mine when I started watching the Flash. Never realized she was in this movie because I didn't watch it until after watching the Flash. I just think its so interesting that Disney produced two superhero films in this and the incredibles that were pointed commentaries on the american school system. Sky High is a little more direct in its commentary than the incredibles but they make the same point. You do no service to students if you're not cultivating their talents no matter what those talents are.

I never realized how paint-by-the-numbers this plot is. That said, a PBTN painting can still look really good. I would love another _Sky High_ movie. They'll have to recast Jetstream/Josie Stronghold, because Kelly Preston passed away a few years ago. I feel old that neither of the reviewers recognized one of the original superheroines, Lynda Carter. BTW, she's still smoking hot.

Gwen had a smart plan; turn your ennemis into babies and raise them as villains. That's a great way to control them... a lot of work too since she transformed an entire SCHOOL! Not sure Royal pain has enough baby powder or milk for all the babies 😂

I think if this had been made a few years later when superheroes became huge, or at least made the planned sequels, this would be seen as a minor Disney classic and get a Descendants-style revival today
