I think they realized that fighting a giant robot on the 5th level would soften the impact of the final boss. Robo kaos definitely wouldn’t be as imposing if we had already beaten up a big robot piloted by a different fool.
also, battling a robot in the level right after we battle a. robot would seem weird. And the fight seems somewhat similar to another bossfight, Drill X, so it become repetitive
I think Drill-X might've also played a role, *three* giant robot fights built up throughout the chapter where you damage the boss by attacking its "arms" might've been considered a little much
It’s probably why you didn’t actually fight the conqueror on in level 1 as well, because 3 giants robot bosses where you attack its arms would have been a little repetitive
The unused robot boss fight in Glacier Gully reminds me of the Lost Imaginite Mines boss fight, including the apparent healing back to full health at the end
Sorry for the inconsistent mic/voice quality. This is my first time using my voice for a video and so it's a bit awkward. Also this was supposed to be up way earlier in the day but rendering the video took longer than I expected Anyway, let me know if you want more alpha content! (Or if you want to see the entirety of Trap Team played with two Blaster-Trons at once, that would also be fun to make)
Wait, D.Riveter had a Bioshock reference?? Wild. For those who might not know, in Bioshock there is a type of Big Daddy called Rosie, which just so happens to use a Rivet gun
ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE! This is something that just blows my mind. The creation of Skylanders was always something I wondered as a kid! What was scrapped and stuff like that. Being able to find see it is amazing! Thank you so much for making this man.
Interesting fact, a few of the beta designs of enemies appeared in the Soul Gem previews The Chompy Bot 9000 beta design appeared in Prism Break's preview, while the Grenade General's beta design appears in Jet-Vac's design. This could be because the previews were made before the design changes. Plus after the enemy designs were changed, they probably didnt want to go through changing the previews
Woops editing error at 3:05, accidentally copied my "By the way, it has two early descriptions" line In case anyone can't hear what I say there, it's "...it only appears spawning Frigid Chompies or Bone Chompies. Combine that with the fact that there are..."
18:55: The Jawbreaker falling out of the world after lunging animation IS actually in the base game! You can see it happen with the same methods as well!
I know a third Design of Drow Archer, this Version is in a Skylanders Sticker Book. This Version had a Thorn Bow and looked diffrent from these both Designs.
In my school vr game earlier bit where Goalius bionic arm was a reformed iron fist of arkus but it changed to being created by oddsquard to replace his missing limb
I can cleary see why they changed the drow archer attack. The old attack wasnt clearly displayed. The Arrows fall kinda randomly, so you could get hit even if it feels like you shouldnt have. That could lead to frustration which game designers always try to prevent.
In the Wii release version of Giants, there's a spell punk in Rumbletown who heals sheep for some reason when all the other enemies are defeated and this might be something to do with the sheep mage. I'm not sure, though.
Oracle boss fight would be so awesome (him being one of my favorite giants characters) i can imagine him opting to fight you as a finak trial to observe how you act in the face of true danger with voice lines like "now it is time for your final trial... Dont dissapoint me"
Inhuman shields originally had spears and we’re gonna be in SSA But dang I didn’t know there was a finished model of the Kaos prototype! And I didn’t know the Chompy with the spikes was Boulder Bowler!
Yeah, I found that out when looking for the spider tank video. Didn't end up including it because I'd already finished up to Aerial Attack, and Premiere Elements can be really annoying when moving stuff around sometimes.
@@Elgi72 No, since there's no actual way to unlock the extra stones. You can only get Trog Puncture and Bark Demon in the final game by replacing a stone that's already in your deck.
if they actually finished the boss fight against noodles, i really hope they wouldve cut down on machene ghost's dialogue. he seems to do a lot of stating the obvious throughout the fight.
Dont know if this happened to anyone else. When I replayed Giants, i got to the skystones match with the pirate on Drill-X's big rig. When I won, he game me the bolder bowler skystone, except that crashed the game. Any Idea how that happened? Version was WiiU
I’m still trying to figure out if the first level that Skylanders Giants puts you in when starting a new game takes place in the past or that it’s in the same time period of the Skylands in the second level.
5:30 - "It also mispronounces Drow". Funny enough that IS how you're supposed to pronounce Drow (and this is the only piece of media I've ever seen where they're pronounced like that), but I guess the devs either didn't realize this or wanted to do something a bit different.
I find it interesting with unused battles and characters enemies trog pincher from giants pretty much does the same thing as in skylanders just a reskin bone and arrow would be cool to return would be cool to have sniper as a fully working character in final game.
