Counting all of them, 4 one hand categories, 3 two handers, bows, and staves. Not counting unique weapons, thats a minimum of 8 plus all the spells staves can conjure.

I truly feel like I'm one of the last skyrim players that haven't went stealth archer once. Beat the game multiple times, only touched a bow for hunting.

Orc heavy armor dual swords berserker focused on Elemental Fury shout usage. More OP than stealth archer.

I loved until I played morrowind and oblivion later on, those two(especially morrowind) blow Skyrim out of the water. Without mods might I add.

Agreed I even give my companion a weapon i enchanted with paralyze. Only thing I don't like is how many times i have to recharge the weapon so much. I mean I have fire and paralyze on my weapons so it probably drains twice as fast now that i think about it

@@abrahamwashington8579 What I do is enchant it to paralyze for just 1 single second. Since Para just has a duration and not a strength like a damage enchant, the para effect will always do the same thing; make them fall down. They dont stay down for long, but no matter how long the Para effect they always have to fall down before it wears off, and when you're hitting fast enough that it procs before they even get back up anyway, it saves on recharges needed

@@abrahamwashington8579 if you have magic cost reductions it applies to enchantments of the same school! So if you have fortify alteration cost that adds up to 100% on your armor it will make it not use charge

Oh dude. I love paralyze lol. You fight in the right place and it's the funniest thing ever. I also ended up getting a mod that alters potions so that they have some sort of consequence to using them(forces players to play the game more strategically). All minor health potions do 3 secs of paralyze. It kind of sucks, but at the same time it's fun because I can stand o the edge of something and heal, and I'll just start barreling off like someone threw a slinky down some stairs lol

Considering that by that point your character can split a mountain in half, set entire holds ablaze, rip your soul out of your body, and stop time all with nothing but your voice alone, yeah, I'd like to see them try.

He does count he just counts as the pet like you can't have a dog if you have a reikling.

I don't care what happens as long as dogmeat still loves me.

@@BridgerArner I'm guessing you've never played any RPG games before Skyrim. Skyrim did not in any way "make the table" the only parts of the game that were better than any other rpg at the time were the pure size of the map (which is debatable if it's "better") and graphical fidelity (I'll admit it was a remarkably beautiful game for such a large open world). The most important components of a RPG are it's combat and story, so I'll focus on them. It's combat was a very generic system from the early to mid 2000's (for gods sake it was outdated for oblivion let alone skyrim 5 years later) and the magic system was stripped down to a mere skeleton. it's story and story-telling were both very generic and in some places absolutely awful (the civil war where the stormcloaks have no redeeming quality to balance out the pure stupidity of their rebellion, being the prime example). Nothing skyrim did was new or pushed any boundaries (other than size) so I'm really curious how you could possibly believe it "made the table". Skyrim was so successful because it released at such an opportune time, when Gaming as a hobby was becoming far more readily accepted and so people would get home form school/work and sit down for an hour or two just to chill and unwind. Skyrim is a great game but an awful RPG.

@@DyslexicSpartan I had played a few, and while yes Skyrim has many flaws, it almost single-handedly exploded the popularity of rpgs and open worlds. Skyrim was a pivotal game for the genre. And while it has a very generic combat and magic system, it’s still both limited enough and creative enough that people keep coming back to try to break it and keep finding new ways. The storytelling is heavy handed at times, but Skyrim is great because the best stories are the ones you make in your head during encounters. Every playthrough is unique, and you only won’t have fun if aren’t trying to. Thank you for coming to my ted talk

it is a great game. the people who usually dont like it is because its kind of a simpler rpg compared to the other elder scrolls games. like classes and certain attributes were bunched together and some people dont like the setting and lore that skyrim brought. but as a game to play and explore it does just that.

nah it was kind of weird to hear that intro. I easily consider Skyrim a top 5 game for me and most people who played it when it released would probably agree. RU-vidrs are still constantly posting videos and challenges and they get millions of views. I think with so many great games nowadays it is easy to call Skyrim simple, but it was absolutely amazing for its time

People started turning on Skyrim a few years ago. I forget who but a big RU-vidr made a video saying Skyrim was terrible and that has been the narrative for a while on RU-vid. Pretty much every video the last 4 years on Skyrim are either hit pieces or saying it is worse than oblivion. You get enough videos like this and everyone starts nodding along.

theres definite differences in attack speed of a dagger vs a sword axe or mace, and greatsword vs battleaxe or warhammer, especially when you get into uniques. Yea they all come down to you smacking the enemy, but thats how melee weapons work

You can pick a random direction and keep going until you find a random cave that was the tomb of a dragon priest who slowly mind controlled a group of people who were camping out at its entrance, you find notes scattered about that shows how his influence over them increasing day by day, every dungeon has the same textures but have unique handcrafted layouts. The current day Ubisoft games have larger worlds but feel so empty, hell even Witcher 3's exploration as good as it was, still didn't fell quite like Skyrim
