7:39 I can't believe it, you even included that glitchy line where Tullius' voice cuts out mid sentence. The mark of a true OG skyrim vet. I'm guessing no unofficial skyrim patch then
i've played skyrim, skyrim legendary edition, skyrim special edition (on xbox) and then se on pc, le on pc, as well as ae on pc how do i not remember the line being glitched
For context, I'm brazilian. During english classes, we had to assemble a group and voice/act a scene, existing or improvised. My group decided to act this scene specifically. We had to cut some characters and lines, merge some people (the carriage driver, Tulius and executioner were the same guy). I was Ralof, so I still remember his lines to this day.
@@Albiefanatic No no no, you misunderstand me. It’s so bad that it’s good in the same way a Monty Python movie is, it’s so ludicrously absurd that it causes you to spit out your tea
If they are about to hang you, ask for a glass of water, you never know what's gonna happen. But I guess he thought he might as well get it over with instead of listening to the dude's rambling, since nothing's likely to happen. But a counter counterpoint is that he heard the dragon and could assume there was some chaos coming
You know, this is an odd place to realise it, but that Stormcloak that interrupted the priest giving them their rights might have actually survived had he not interrupted her!
two things in this intro that took me a decade to realize. lokir prayed to the gods for mercy when he realized he was going to be executed. Alduin was akatosh's first born, so in a way, his prayer worked and akatosh sent something to save him. Second, if the red haired stormcloak let the priestess finish the rites, he probably would have lived
This has an inescapably human touch that you will simply never find in the sort of content that's being produced by our new Generative AI Overlords. I love it.
It always reminds me of that post divorce time of my parents when i was like 9 years old and watched my dad play skyrim for the first time, i miss those years sm
3:05 the only section he forgot and i remember it immediately, despite feeling like i don’t know majority of the lines. he says something about how when he was young, imperial walls used to make him feel so safe.
I'd watch a whole playthrough of you as Barbo Beehive. Doesn't even need to dub over other parts. Just react and improv as Barbo Beehive. Please I'll pay you
I love how Ralaf sounds like he knows the entire plot of the game and he's just playing his part in it, like he's a self-aware character in a Shakespeare play.
2:56 The right name (for the guy making mead with juniper berries) is Vilod, but this sounds like he was about to say "Ralof," then realized that's him (in a world where very few people have the same first name), and veered off into "Raylaah."
I think the line you forgot after the juniper berries one goes along the lines of. "Funny, when I was a boy imperial walls and towers used to make me feel so safe." I cannot explain the amount of fun I had trying to recite these lines along with you. The amount of times I've seen this intro is just hilarious.
I don't know if I should be proud or sad that I actually remember that line from Ralof about how the empire's wall and towers always made him feel safe as a boy, or the fact that Hadvar mentioned that at least you die in your homeland nord' if you pick a Nord, I may have played this game too much.
Underated part is 6:29, where because you started late the line gets cut off with his head. The sheer confidence he had that he'd be able to finish combined with him being killed mid sentence made me break down laughing
Goes to show how many times we restart the game to start fresh with new and or different builds and routes. I once met a guy at a bus station with over 1k hours (i think it was 9k hours but it's been a year since i last met him and it seems excessive) Skyrim. He had the game since it came out, has all the merch and versions and still plays it to this day. I have a feeling he would be able to quote this scene one to one. I hope i meet him again one day because he was fun to talk to.
