@@ZieSpiralOut well, i noticed that some pretty good shit happens in guild after you return the key. I did that first time a few days ago and it felt pretty good actually
I've always thought it wouldve been cool if dawnbreaker had a similar mechanic as the ebony blade, growing stronger the more you clear undead tombs with it, with the trigger being killing the boss draugr of any tomb you're in. It's such a cool looking weapon and the theme and enchant are amazing, but it's just so shit once you're up to like, glass or ebony gear, which is pretty fast imo
Yes, I was about to say that when I saw your comment. Shalidor is usually seen as the mage who advocated for higher standards among mages and for discouraging spell use among the common people. This kinda conflicts with Vanus Galerion's declared goal of "bringing the magic to the masses", making magic items and potions (and even spells) available to anyone who could pay - that is why he founded the Mages Guild. Shalidor is usually known for being the mage who originally organized and formed the schools of magic, and Vanus Galerion's role as founder of the Mages Guild sometimes make people attribute this organization of magic to him, when in fact it was probably Shalidor who did it.
@@farhansaber9330 No, later. Shalidor's most famous exploits, such as his clash with Clan Rourken, are associated with the First Era, Vanus Galerion was born in, and consequently (there not being a Dragon Break at the time) founded the Mages Guild during, the Second Era.
@@LordInsane100 Yeah yeah after commenting I realized that Shalidor had interactions with the Dwemer who were gone quite some time before. Also, even in ESO Shalidor is but a ghost but Vanus Galerion is still around.
I like actually not finishing the Clavicus Vile quest because the dog follows you everywhere and fights with you. A very good companion that can kick butt and never die.
I always LOVED Volendrung, it's something I went for right away along with Umbra. The changing of it's enchantment was wrong. I have the mod that puts it back. Dawnbreaker's explosive charm is also just tops!
When talking about Volendrung you put up the Masque's stats. Also, Vile isn't necessarily the god of trickery, but the god of regrettable deals. It's basically the same thing: One guy wanted a cure for his daughter's lycanthropy so Vile gave him am axe. But it makes more sense that a desperate person would appeal to the god of bad deals than to the god of trickery.
Meridia quest in not basically the only "good" quest (you killing desecrated souls of poor soldiers corrupted by very evil necromancer), but you also get a LOT of gold and basically one of the best swords in the game. Totally my most favorite Daedric quest, after Sanguin
Sanguine Rose is underrated. Can't count how many times I'd go into the final dungeon, cast my bad ass into the room to fight a bunch of opponents, and then just close the door and wait. If you're feeling lazy, he'll do a lot of the work for you, even if it takes multiple casts. The enchantments on the masque, particularly once you get to a certain level, are pretty benign.
I do the vanilla glitches on 3 Daedric quests for extra loot. 1. Two Dawnbreakers makes for some killer dual-wielding when you join the Dawnguard. 2. I know the Rueful Axe isn't that great, but that sick skin goes great for my werewolf hunter... who's also a werewolf. So I keep the awesome axe and CV's mask as well. 3. Again, why choose when you can have both? Hircine's relics work great for my were-hunter too; he sports the were-hide and the transformation ring.
Unrelated to Skyrim, is anyone, good at Java? I really need help with setters and getters that involve user input across two classes. Figured a Skyrim video might yield some helpful responses
the quest for volendrung drove me crazy cuz the chief kept triggering a giant in the cave before we got to the main giant battle and since he was still an essential npc and he was scripted to attack me after the giant dies, either the giant would endlessly "kill" him over and over or if i killed it, he'd kill me. I had to keep going back on my save for two days until i managed to get him past it without issue.
You can get 2 dawn breakers. Cast scroll of storm as soon as you enter the chamber. The sword will fly all over the room. Kill the boss and you will be rewarded a dawnbreaker AND you can pick up the 1 that went flying. Duel dawnbreakers.
Spellbreaker has this weird optical illusion whenever I see it. The front is indented but when I look at it at the correct angle it looks the opposite haha
Sanguine Rose is such a messy weapon, especially when given to your follower, Dremora is pissed off if you accidentally hit him even slightly. I had Cicero and Serana following me, i gave the sanguine rose to Cicero Eventually there was Cicero, Serana and my spectral assasin fighting with Dremora and all blabbering their own dialogue, instead of fighting draugr, it was such a mess. It was all my own fault but i was ready to murder them all to death. But not my dwarwen spider ofcourse, who was running around in panic there.
I was so mad at Barbus barking and nudging me all the time that there was _no way_ I was going to kill him-- he _had_ to go back to Clavicus Vile and annoy him again!!
Just discovered that in a return to your roots I'm not sure how but my quest objective says I have minus 1 out of 30 crimson nirnroot pretty but just cements the fact this quest can jump on a falmers finger
I always liked the rueful axe design wise, with the wolf head motif and all. Probably in my top 3 battleaxes. Problem is I can never bring myself to kill Barbas so I've never legitimately obtained it.
I had to return to the fort at the end of a Night to Remember for a Dawnguard fetch quest, and Sanguine was fuckin there beating the shit out of the bandits, not even kidding
I remember when i did sanguines quest and had max speech with the amulet of articulation and just talked my way out if everything. I dont think i did anything for anyone. Just talked my way out.
Im late to party but its skyrim so no time is late i guess. About sanguene rose its actually best summon in the game because dremoras level scales up with dragonborn without a limit. So its valuable throuhout all game
Anyone knows what is the piece of armor the guy in the thumbnail was wearing? Its difficult to find a blue body armor thats both powerfull and dont belong to a faction
i actually have 2 dawnbreakers. i dont know if some of you also have 2 dawnbreakers. usually the dawnbreaker is stuck and you have to pull it out right? but I think there is another one on the floor lying around the pedestal of the dawnbreaker.
There was a tablet that could be used to change the laws of man if you could write on it. However it could only be written on with “the dagger” Turns out the dagger was a fairy and was used to write on the tablet. Being used as a writing utensil was excruciatingly painful. And the fairy was used to write till it died hence the name Daggerfall
Well it makes sense that the Daedra who hates the undead and desacration of corpses would send you to a mission where you can enrich yourself by looting the souls of those who died in an ongoing war, to then reward you with a powerful sword that you will most likely use to make your way through tombs and loot more corpses. Oh wait...
@@carsonsugden9807 it's not actually that bad. It's highly situational, but with how prevalent the undead are in Skyrim (namely, the draugr), it's a really good weapon for those situations. Combine it with Azura's star (or the Black Star) and you essentially have a really good undead repellent
@@petermarsella6537 I feel like I could make a better sword with a Silver sword and max enchanting skill. Tbh though most undead become quite easy once you're in the mid 40s and up in level.
If you bash them quick enough, it blocks mages from casting any spells on you. So it's super good at blocking damage if you hit them quick enough with the shield. 😉
@@arcader8138 I know, and the higher the level you are - the harder it gets. So I usually take invincibility potion and use some super powerfull scroll and just cast it in the middle of the group
Along with the price improvement.. *Dragonborn walks into shop* Shopkeeper: that will be 100 septim *pulls out volundrung* Shopkeeper: Ssssorry, I meant 80 septim. Dragonborn: That's better.
When he mentioned chucking the hammer at people, I immediately imagined the sight of the Dragonborn actually holding the hammer over their head, then throwing it at a poor bandit whose corpse goes flying.
@@zulfikaralfarisi2609 they are immortal so they always get more chances even if they mess up that time. I bet if Mehrune could he would probably attempt it again.
Mobile Gameplay it’s GGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIAAAANNNT
@christian black Yeah, I agree. The mission was a bit boring but can easily be finished in less than an hour. Plus the weapon was good for clearing dungeons as undead (draugr) have a chance to explode in death. So in par with the quest, it was a well rounded reward!
Spellbreaker is also awesome against Dragons and Draugr Deathlords, as it absorbs dragonfire and shouts. Combine with Dawnbreaker or Dragonslayer depending on the enemy and you're set.
@Gavin Decker It's a reusable soul gem. Just soul trap an enemy you're about to kill and the star should be the first gem to fill up. Nelacar lied about the black star only being able to collect black souls, it can trap any souls. Azura's star can't hold black souls. One fun interaction with the star is that you can enchant a weapon with soul trap (or better yet, fiery soul trap) and you'll always have the star to recharge your weapon while easily filling up all other gems in your inventory.
@Gavin Decker No problem! Fiery soul trap can only be found in Ironbind Barrow, by the way. It's somewhat close to Azura's shrine, to the west. (The weapon holding the enchantment will be on the backside of the final room's throne if I remember correctly)
If you use Unrelenting Force at the pedestal when you walk in the room, the sword will fall on the ground but you will also get another from the pedestal when commanded by Meridia to do so. Dual wielding these is quite effective, especially against undead :)
@@driftingdruid Late but one upping you mate, wait until he plays no man's sky or Minecraft if that isn't something he play then wait until he at least plays daggerfall.
