I love Ulfr cuz even if you play as a woman you can still say you're his nephew and he's still like 'cool bro'...so apparently he's the least perceptive bandit ever
Or a genius that is not blind at all knowing that bandit's will cause a ruckus and anger the jarl's. His Nephew was guarding the entrance door if i am not mistaken so if you arrive at his post he know's that he does not stand a chance. And him beeing blind gives him a safe position so he won't have to do any dangerous job's.
You forgot a very important one! Probably the lamest of all! There is a cave (can’t remember what it’s called) that is infested with hagravens, but there is also a bandit in a cage with NO ARMOUR who begs you to set him free, he says he will reward you with his ‘lucky dagger’ if you do, you can pick the lock or use a key to set him free, once you do he says he’ll help you kill the hagravens and becomes a temporary follower, but once you kill all the enemies he will actually BETRAY you! He will say it’s nothing personal but the stuff you have is too valuable to be owned by a MILK DRINKER like you! (You could be wearing full enchanted Daedric Armor and he’ll still call you that, and he literally has NO ARMOR and is armed with a DAGGER! This simply HAS to be the lamest enemy in Skyrim) once you kill him (probably in one hit) you can loot his unique Iron Dagger called the ‘Lucky Dagger’ which has a unique effect
At least he doesn't run away from you. I fully expected Arvel to be on this list for that reason, but I'm guessing that would have been too obvious, judging by the bait and switch with "Just kidding guys it's this other guy you can't even get to without cheating"
Number 1: Naze-- No wait wrong list. I thought it was ''Top 5 Greatest villains in gaming history'' my bad Do you get to the cloud district very often? Oh, what am I saying.. Of course you don't.
@@sheep1ewe i was so upset when i realize that Maven become a jarl in my experimental second playthrought when i joined the stupid imperials...i hate myself for that ahhaahhahaha....btw can you kill Maven at any point of the game or she is always essential?
@@martinrezzy I am not 100% sure, but I think she's always esential, because one can not kill her in the beginning either even if one joined the stormcloaks (I usually join the empire in the older games so i can advance there (in Morrowind You can even become the highest leader in the imperial army next to the emperor), but i also made a stormcloak caracter in Skyrim because i wanted to know what would happen if i joined them (and i am a Nord my self by the way...))... (Yes, i hawe tried killing her... several times... ha ha)
Vampira I always choose imperials because the Stormcloaks are racists and if Ulfric didn’t start the Civil War Skyrim wouldn’t be weakened, which is exactly what the Thalmor want.
Mogrul's logic: Right, now that the guy who owed the debt is protected by a Telvanni Wizard, I'll just go after the guy who /also/ works for the *same Telvanni Wizard.* Edit: I'd like to add that he threatens you even after you've done multiple tasks around Raven Rock. Re-open the mines, stop the Ash Spawn threat, prevent the First Councillors assassination, and many minor tasks for the people. And he still thinks he's the one who'll come out of it unscathed.
I have discovered something you probably didn't know you could do, in the elder scrolls 5 Skyrim. If you use the summon spectral assassin spell while in the sanctuary starting the quest to find Cicero after he attacks veezara, you will unlock some otherwise locked dialogue. Take a listen, Lucian: "I will kill this jester if you so desire. But there is a disturbance in the void, our dread father does not wish this." He also has some other stuff to say about the brotherhood in general. It's kind of cool.
Suprised Nate didn't mention how the black briars do their own fair share of dishonest things. Romlyn is doing a public service. A minor hero, or the lesser evil.
There would be visual dots on the pages if it was in braille, not black dots but shadows and highlights. His book was just dirty parchment and blank pages. As for how to do it from a developer standpoint is through the normal and maybe specular map. Atleast just the normal map so in certain light you can see there are dots due to shadows. There are no dots, same normal map as any other book page in all books.
Generic bandit #666 is way more powerful than any bandit, the backstory could use some work though, just saying he made a deal with an evil god doesn't make a good backstory. Why did he do it? Who was he before he made the deal? etc. Actually I probably just missed a journal somewhere
@@KrystalcKobra769 yeah he is quite a good candidate I loved his speech about the importance of more guard patrols on the roads near his rivals territory
If you had the choice to say literally anything in the game: "Hey Morgul. So, I found out what the average amount of money a bandit takes to go harass me. You've already spent over ten thousand septims on this. Are you really sure that 1,000 is worth it?"
Nimhe was a huge letdown. She could've been so much more powerful, the queen of spiders in Skyrim. They could've made her aesthetically different as well. And then there's Mercer Frey. His motives are shallow, which I suppose suits his thieving character. Idk, I just would've preferred him to be more layered and complex. Lastly, Ancano. He could have been so much cooler! He should've been more godlike during the final battle, changing aesthetically and becoming vastly more powerful.
What would've been cool was making his animations similar to dragon priest and having him fly around shooting chain lightning at you (cuz you're a mage so you'd be weakened)
1. The Orc may or may not just be a asshole but he could be telling the truth and he clearly has some connection's when he can harass you with bandit's. 2. Drahff is the only one that you could even consider a villian or atleast a actuall enemy. 3. Did you just list a dead bandit as villian? + of course the troll is unharmed since they are know for their regenerativ ability's 4. Ulfr again is a far cry from a villian. But in all honesty I believe he is a genius. He claim's he is blind and everyone believes him. So he is not good out on the field as a lookout. So he get's to be the entrance guard. However he is not really that strong atleast not stronger then the guy's that work as lookout's. So when you enter the cave it can be assumed that you killed the few bandit's in front of it. So he allready know's that he does not stand a chance and ask if you are his nephew. But the thing is... he is blind and not deaf. So of course he can tell you apart. And when you do fight you announce it that you will kill him so he defend's himself in a rather normal way without trouble of tracking where you are... Okay let's face it. He is not blind at all and he got himself the safest and laziest position in the bandit group 5. But Maven is a bit of a c*** that has the thieves Guild and dark brotherhood under her command. She is 10 times more the villian that the little smuggler.
I think you can get the elf to help pay off his debt, but Mogrul is still an asshole that bullies the characters throughout town (all of which I love), so I kill him anyways.
If you kill Nazzem without these instructions he will return again and again untill someone does not do it, so listen carefuly. There's the tale that tells that Nazeem is the strongest enemy in all Tamriel. Fortunatly there's a secret power that can be unlocked only by Dragonborn. Everything you need to do is buy a house in Riften. On the balcony you can find forgotten weapons named Fork and Knife. Pick them up and enchant them with a soul trap. You need only one soul gem in inventory to be sure thats the one Nazeem is trapped in it. Once trapped use the same soul gem to enchant iron dagger that will became cursed. You have 24 hours to do the final step. Go to the Throut of the world and drop the knife of the clif. If you have done everything correctly the course will be destroyed and Nazeem killed forever.
Wouldn't it be better to use his soul to enchant a pair of boots with frost resistance? He can keep your toes toasty warm wherever your travels take you ^^
Good vid, Nate! Personally, I would have mentioned the bandit in the first puzzle room of Bleak Falls Barrow- the one that pulls the lever without moving the pillars, and gets skewered by the resulting darts, essentially murdering himself to death. I always get a chuckle out of that one.
The quest that leads after ”The Forsworn Conspiracy”, you can simply avoid it by killing one of the guards with a bow and arrow, making the other guards hostile. They do not become passive when you put away your weapon
Kinda like when you are wandering Skyrim and a random wolf goes sailing off into oblivion only to go investigate and see that a giant was behind it or to be in a temple of Dibella humping the leg of her statue and a random basket flys up causing the dragonborn damage? Because both incidents had me saying WTF
The thing I'm so confused on with him saying they'll turn hostile, my first playthrough they did, my second one... They don't care I keep passing them, I can try talk to them and they just tell me to go away but they actually don't ever attack me 😂
"what mogrul doesn't know is... you have the soul of a dragon" me: well, even if I wasn't dragonborn I'm pretty sure I could take him being armed with a sword, and heavy armor n all...
I actually personally expected Mercer Frey to be on this list. So when i first played Skyrim (as a Redguard mind you) i was excited about joining the Thieves Guild. When I learned he was a former Nightingale, killed Gallus, stole from the Guild, etc. I thought that he was gonna be a super hard character to kill. Before us three Nightingales attacked him, i stocked up on potions, weapons, etc. But when I encountered him, I was surprised when I only killed him in a couple of swings. Now this might be because I was duel-weilding two scimitars (one did 33 damage the otjer 52 if i rwmember no enchantments on eithier) and I was a Redguard good at one-handed weapons, but I was still surprised by how easy it was to kill him. Idk if anyone else became the leader of the guild that easy, but that was my personal expierance
I just got and started the game of the year version of Skyrim with dawnguard and dragonborn dlc already there. I LOVE that you're making all these Skyrim vids still to this day. I'm newly subscribed and got that bell on. Really digging your content....
I've faced off with a bosmer skooma addict in rags who thought it be wise to try and threaten me he also carries a bottle of argonian blood wine I was an argonian at the time so I think he needed his fix
I appreciate your ability to squeeze every bit of content out of this game and still make it nice quality content, I'm excited to see how nice the videos will be once ES6 comes out with the same work effort and tonnes of new content. It's exciting
Juts dropping my 2 cents here again, as all your videos are always rock solid on point and teaching me things. For the few who may not know: with Mogrul, after you send Drovas to Neloth, you can actually lead Mogrul out of the city down to where you first meet the captain fighting ash spawns and murdalize him good without the penalty of bounty. For those of us who like the secret vigilantism of Skyrim, since nobody will know who killed him but everybody will know why :D
Yet another top 10 things missed in skyrim that You might have missed because you didnt find another missed detail in skyrim. I have to Love your vid man, they are the best
I actually married Romlyn Dreth in my first play though with my male argonain, I didn't know about Romlyn's family history tho... Still he makes a good husband.
Yall forgetting the Bandit in Ravenscar Hollow. Once entering the cave, you'll face a Hagraven with a partner (usually a spider) after eliminating them you will see a lever, which when pulled reveals a secret door leading to another area, with cages and a couple more Hagravens. Inside in the first cage is a Bandit, wearing nothing but rags. He'll whisper to you asking for help and claiming he doesn't know why the Hagravens locked him up and doesn't want to find out. Once freed (either by picking the lock or using the key from the previous Hagraven) he will help you fight the rest of the Hagravens using his Lucky Dagger. Afterwards he will attempt to rob you but then change his mind and try to kill you. But unfortunately for him, you have the soul of a dragon and can shout people to death, whereas he's in rags with a dagger. Rather poor planning on his part.
I used to kill Mogral, _BUT_ his bandits are nothing but free loot for me _AND_ I like the idea of him spending way more than 1000 septims hiring bandits that keep dying, presumably each new set charging more than the last due to the risk of the job.
2nd But after playing through Vigilant, almost every enemy in Skyrim (vanilla game and other mods) starts to look rather underwhelming. The design of the bosses in this mod with their different appearances, background stories and combat abilities are simply amazing. Better than Alduin, Harkon and Miraak combined
One you missed: The High Elf that can be found dead next to the Shrine of Talos near Helgen. After a search of his body, you find out he was sent by himself to take care of a group of worshippers because the embassy didn't believe him.
Hello big fan of the channel I have something to tell you for one of your five probably didn't know videos it's a miscellaneous quest but it's one where you go to falkreath on the hearthfire DLC on Skyrim you go to the jarl siddgeir
Also, the re-introduction of a Tel-Mithryn tower could have been a golden opportunity for bethesda to reintroduce flying/ levitation (as a spell/ enchantment effect) back into the Elder Scrolls games! Still, it was damn nice to see one again. It's been over 200 years since I last went near one of those...
Hey Nate, you actually inspired me to go back and play Skyrim all over again, and man, I swear on my life I feel like I have never played this game before even though I have owned for a few years and played in spurts of 100's of hours at a time and not play anything else until something gets me to stop and play something else. Anyway, your Trolls look really good, which mod are you using for that and can you give me a list so I can compare and contrast my load out to yours? Thanks!
You got the one about the blind guy off a bit. He's asking if you are another bandit, not his nephew. The "boss" is his nephew and the person he thinks you are is the guy who's been leaving tacks on his chair and other not niceties. I'm honestly surprised you got it wrong as you've covered him before and got it right that time.
