Slade is one of the most underrated rock bands in the world! EVERYONE emulated them or covered their songs( Slash...Quiet Riot...Black Sabbath...Alice Cooper...etc) Hopefully, the people watching these videos truly appreciate their incredible talent. Bought my first album at the age of twelve in my hometown of New Orleans at a record shop on Canal Street and became a glam girl overnight! What a great era of music to come of age in!!!
One of the highlights of being a child in the 70’s, watching Top of the Pops. Can’t believe that nearly half a century later Slade can still evoke the memories from my childhood.

You're obviously just listening to the charts. There is some amazing new music, you just don't get it on radio 1. Try some Sleep Token, Ren or Chinchilla, to name a few.
Noddy's voice had such a great range. One of the best rock singers, in my book anyways! Sent shivers down my spine too. The whole band had a great rock sound.

yes i'll be 60 in Feb,wow where has the time gone.wonderful memories of great days times and friends.sadly we have to move on but I will cherish those special times for the rest of my life.Be lucky my 70's people
It's such a shame , even Noddy in the 80's said in an interview that they never got the credit they deserved and that all they are remembered for is Merry Christmas everybody
I grew up loving this band but it's only when you are old enough do you realise how talented this band were and Noddy Holder ...what a song writer . so over the moon when I heard Noel Gallagher praising Noddy re Merry Christmas every body and in particular the line " Does your granny always tell you that the old ones are the best"....bloody brilliant and we have all heard our Gran and Gran dads say that. Lastly, I am an Alice Cooper fan and like Slade if you don't know the whole music you will never appreciate how talented these folks are unless you go beyond the records that were released as singles.
От души завидую всем тем, кто живьем видел, слушал Слейд! Все комментарии такие добрые и с чувством. Я в России, мне уже за 60 перевалило, но я тоже считаю, что вырос на музыке Слейд. Часто ставлю послушать любимый сборник, который сам собрал.
Радио Люксембург крутило Слэйд и в хвост и в гриву. Хорошее было радио. И радио Варшавы тоже радовало нас настоящим роком. Только ГэБистской мрази не нравилась рок музыка. "Слышишь время гудит: БАМ!"

My dad is still alive, but hes not very well and all of slades songs make me feel better. when I get down about it all, I just come on youtube and listen to all the old slade tracks I used to listen too when I was a kid. with him reminds me of all the better times, and just how much I care about him. xxxxxxxxx
rickie handley. Feel the same. My dad died a few years ago. He loved his music and the Beatles were his favourite. But I remember him playing Slade far far away 1974 I think on the old record players when you could play 10 singles as it was know. Still.have that 45 along with many others from the 60s and 70s. Great memories indeed. Noddys voice brillant!!
people are now reliseing how good slade really were, if you were a teenager in the 70s, then slade were a part of your life, great songs, great times, best live band ever,
I heard them for the first time when I was in school. We had a Soviet Union. I liked them right away, Noddy's voice is amazing. I am now 59 and I still admire SLADE

Just let a fantastic rock band play on the stage they command for their audience! No flashing strobe lights, fireworks, relentless hosts and pompous judging. Notice the silence of the TOTP crowd. Showing Slade courtesy and respect. Just swaying to the rhythm, like we all did from that beautiful era, as we lived it then as young, fearless youths, enjoying life of that period. A truly home grown, Black Country Band we all love here and still do. Oh, for the good old sweet days of the 1970s. What do we have now? The falsity, trash, of X-Factor, and Britain's Got Talent, Ant/Dec, etc They haven't a clue what true talent is.
Forget just how good a band they were, like someone else said on here, Noddy's voice makes the hairs on the back of your neck stand up, absolute classic,, the 70's, happy happy days !!
Мне 68 , а в 1972 было 17 лет - казалось, было самое время слушать Slade. Потом был перерыв без музыки лет сорок почти и недавно заново открыл эту страничку истории - сейчас слушается еще круче, чем в юношестве
Slade - played Rock ´n Roll after a waltz and before a Quickstep...in one Concert! One of the best Bands ever! Thank´s for this fantastic music from Germany!
Slade were so under rated by some. Their songs, especially ballads like this, were well written and beautifully sung and played. Brilliant ! Don't forget to listen to Everyday.
how did i live all 21 years of my life and only just discover this i loved this from the moment i heard it i think i need to go listen to some more slade

И всё равно, уже тогда считал лучшей хард-группой Led Zeppelin, как и сейчас считаю. А эту композицию и «How Does It Feel» всегда слушаю с удовольствием и наслаждаюсь голосом Нодди Холдера.:)
It seems so long ago that this band ruled my whole life, Loved this period, but I thought it would go on forever, but here I am nearly 50 yrs later, I'm still alive, I'm still their biggest fan, but Life just aint the same.

Have not heard this song for so long. Amazing-what a superb song full of feeling from a real band-just themselves-unique and original with their own excellent songs. Awesome.
I just heard it in the Quireboys version. Thought at first "was Noddy's voice this rough on ballads"? But how high Noddy could sing. Marvellous. Only few can really sing "Everyday". A unique voice.
For a few years Slade were the biggest band in the UK with a string of No 1,s and this at a time when the charts werw full of classic songsxand acts ,The golden age and decade of Music. Slade were superstars from the west Midlands that took over the charts
