The valves within a bagged system will freeze since there can sometimes be condensation in the compressor, lines, and so forth. This won’t let you raise or lower the bags. With you living in a cold area, it’s something that should be taken into consideration. I’m sure there’s a way to remedy it with a water catch can or something of the sort. Just make sure you find the right system to handle where you live.

Love the vids Damon, especially the music and montages (like the one at the beginning). also know the feeling of hiting bumps and getting scrapes even without owning a high end sport car such as a Lambo, if given the opportunity I would bag my car. Do what you want and think is best. Keep the vlog life rolling too. Thanks for hours of fun and shenigans DDE style. P.s Diablos were my favourite Lambo as a teen back in the 90s.

Maybe 10-15 years ago I would have been against bagging the car but now with the technology they are made for performance as well as style and flare... Keep it Static. The way you hoon, its going to be a lot of maintaining for the bags. Keeping you stuck on side of the road for towing, because a bag deflated or something. You also live in Canada, bags in the cold are a pain in the ass. Have to drain condensation from compressor. Granted, they do have new technology, you still have these inconveniences. Bags can protect so much. if you ride low on a road you don't know, you can still break shit. You wont have time to air up to avoid something. Looking good, and or having a functional car saving money. Your pick. Car still will look dope with or without bags.

BAAAAGS. Of course! I have my Golf Mk5 R32 on bags for 4 years now and it is one of the best mods on the car. Comfortable on the road on a daily basis but even on roadtrips, badass look when layed down in the carpark and super handy when having to drive on rough roads or going over big bumps or big underground carpark ramps. I even went to order bag for my RS4 B8 about a week ago. The only downside there is, is that when it gets really cold outside and you have a tad bit of moisture in the system, your compressor valve is likely to freeze down which will keep it from pumping air in the tank and maybe even push itself to death. To avoid this, get the Accuair Endo CVT and you will not have that problem. Here in Luxembourg, they unfortunately are not allowed and also are pretty rare and way too expensive. But considering your car, you can definitely afford a CVT Tank ;) By the way. Both of my cars have the Accuair E-Level system.

I think bags are awesome, I had airlift 3h on my last car. The only thing to consider is the maintenance and it’s more components that can break. I hit some road debris I couldn’t avoid and blew an air line which left me stranded. If your compressor malfunctions or you blow a bag it’s the same deal which can be a hassle if you were on a rally or far from home.

Bags are generally better if you have the money. Although more expensive and may need general mantinance every now and again, they can still withstand very high speeds. I've been around 160mph on a rough mountain road in England. Ride was spot on, if not better compared to non-bagged cars I've been in on the same road

First up all the DDE love, awesome channel. On the question consider that wasn't a great comparison as most of your ride comments will be down to the damper setup not the spring type. The dampers so most of the work so with stock coils and a damper session/tune you could tailor the feel. Personally as much as I love a stances car( my 911 grinds on heavy breaking on rough roads haha) I think bags on the slayer is a mistake with all that power. Other than when it's parked and slammed you will be driving about running the same height as the coils I guess. Other option stock.coil height then some wide body fenders LB etc fitted lower to the wheel.to give impression of lower ride height by sliding wheel /arch gap. Bonus you get wider track and sweet looks 😎 is what RWB do for customers who need road clearance lowers the look without lowering car

I really love your vids Damon. Here is my opinion. It really depends on what ur gonna do with the car. If ur gonna do like quarter mile runs or track day which I haven't actually seen u do any track days, I would go stock. Stock helps with better turning and traction. Now ur not gonna have turning and traction issues with bagged either but there is always that little bit of play going on. Now if your gonna want to just cruise around town and hang with the boys then bagged would be best especially for comfort. Honestly what I've seen you really enjoy more is cruising and hanging so I would say go bagged 💯. Again I love you vids and I love what you do. And I can't wait to see the new wrap. Love the wheels too.

Bags are cool but deff not for your style after market coils or stock suspension are meant to handle more tension and aggresive driving meaning they are more stiff and keep the wheels planted where they need to be bags are alot more flexable meaning ur doing 150+mph aka (55) and a slight bend in the road could cause a bag to flex and one part of the tire loose it traction patch with the road and you lose control id say just buy adjustable coils u can always change ride height with those

Linda Hammer i have bags have gone well over 150 and never had that issue. Even with all the torque in my car it holds up. The car i dont have on coils is my autocross car because coils are way better but as far as on the street daily driving bags are definetly the way to go. And also depends where you live cause where i live i need bags lots of messed roads and speed bumps.

You gotta watch out for condensation in the bags during the winter, it could freeze up and cause problems. Stored in your garage is great but its the destination parking lot that you'll encounter condensation freezing. but your on the coast so its a little less cold.

My airstruts are made much stronger than probably my stock suspension. Accuair makes some really nice durable airstruts that can probably handle any hooning just fine. And I have read comments about air suspension not being very reliable which is also untrue. Its such low maintenance that large rigs that put hundreds of thousands of miles on them even use air ride technology. I admit, back in the day 10 or more years ago air bag suspension wasn't built as well, but now the technology in it has really gone above and beyond.

For driving on roads I would go bags any day. It's just not that of a difference in stiffness and it's just worth every dollar to have the height adjustment.And hey, we all agree that cars looks better low ;) If you think u gonna go on a lot of track days I would maybe go for stock if going fast lap times are the goal, but if just having fun and throwing it sideways a few laps are the goal I would still go bags. Bags don't really like cold weather tho. Here in Norway we use a mixture to keep condensation out of the tanks.

I feel you should bag the car because of how low you like it and with bags you can raise the car quickly for bumps and stuff to save the wing, Ive driven a bagged 458 and you cant feel the diffrence at all, I think bags for a daily driven lambo in your case is 100% worth it.

I own a bagged crewcab chevy silverado and the functionality of bags over static drop is a lot better because you can lift over bumps and not break anything, static drop you break stuff and same with bagged because it's a mod that is not stock on the vehicle but I can drive my truck how I want with no issues... go to some truck shows and see what we do to them i mean they still tire slay trucks with billet wheels that cost a fortune and drift also on bags

Got a bagged ranger and a Silverado converted to coilovers, for daily use the static is better imo because it’s just get in and drive w bags I’ve aired out on the fender like 3 times lmao but it rides way smoother and softer like an old Cadillac lmao

Damon, if you take your car back to Canada in the winter, you can potentially have issues dealing with moisture inside your air tanks, and line freezing because of that. Similar to a tractor-trailer.

Go High end coil overs with 3 to 6 self programmable, Better then bags bags are ok at going one way only but you do burn outs wheel goes forward and the car goes side ways the bags do not like that.

Firstname Lastname is allowed he means that the force of the power is puching forwards when you accelerate, meanwhile the force from the weight(gforce) is sideways. And both powers is something the suspension need to handle

mikael svensson and how does that mean bags are bad? They are bolted down they will not move, you still have a strut that runs through the bag. The bag itself is an “air spring” replacing the conventional spring.

AgronS4 I dident say it is bad!but its not build for that can’d of use. it will performe better with stock when you drift or drive fast. air will be more comfterble

I highly recommend bags. I’ve driven multiple cars with them and ridden in more. I have never actually been upset or disappointed in a good set up. And Iv been above 155 on bags in a Z06 and it felt like it was stock.

I own a bagged Hellcat challenger best mod ever made for any car I’ve ever owned and the car actually rides better. I decided to go with full kit from airlift performance and lost the electronic dampening control but worth it. You can do what West Bank did and keep the stock struts and magnetic ride control but you may not have the predictability when doing stunts. There’s cars that road race and drag on air suspension all depends on the setup brother. Hope that helps!

SuperMuscleCars finally someone else who owns a car on bags and not some kid trying to prove logic he has no clue about haha. Airlift is a good company ive done all my bag setups through them. And the technology has came along way so theyve gotten so much better. Just takes the right setup

I hope more people with info like this chime in because all the people that are saying no to bags have absolutely no clue what the setups are capable of. They can be fully adjusted to handle whatever drive style you want. I've been driving on bags for over 20 years and the kits today are amazing.

bag it for sure, rides so much better and different modes for different drive, runs smoothly never have to worry about a bump breaking your suspension and if you do research it can actually benefit, regular suspensions stay locked in one position have to lower and higher for various things like race etc while in air it will automatically do it therefore you wont have to do multiple test to get it to where you want or to where it will perform great

100% Air! Im a static guy but i understand you completely with the destroying stuff. I destroyed 3 oil pans on My BMW because i had it laid out and fitted. I was literally the lowest static car in my region of Florida lol but it came at a cost. A small crown in the road and i scraped it. Road reflectors were like bombs( that’s how i broke one pan lol). But i daily drove it all over Florida and Georgia even though i destroyed two bumpers and the floor lmao. Even with air you still have to be careful unless you’re riding monster truck as a pre-set. But parked....... can’t beat it unless you’re crazy like i was lol. And no, i don’t have those videos on my RU-vid channel for those who go looking for proof. Those white roadstar wheels was two setups before my 3 piece futuras and before i lowered it more and camber the rears. I sold the car 3 years back.
