You must admit that they are shit hot. I've been playing bass in band most of my life and I can't do anywhere near that speed. All I can say is that they must have practiced a lot more than me. Respect!
Totally agree but, I’m about to get flamed, no feel. Playing 5 billion notes a nano second is undoubtedly technical talent at the very highest level but I’d still much prefer a couple of slow notes from Sly Dunbar or many more notes but with feel from Victor Wooten. Each to their own.
@@gdubyadubya8961if you haven’t seen some of Charles’ work on his channel, please do. He does play with a ton of feel. This particular collaboration was more about jamming and less about him building fantastic layers of bass.
@@gdubyadubya8961 In case you are not too familiar with Charles, his "slow" play is just even more amazing than the shredding to me. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-SeX0Gd8zyLY.html
My favorite part is just watching on their faces how stoked it makes them feel to be jamming such highly technical yet super funky licks together. Two men on the same level. Not many to choose from.
I've been a fan of both Charles and Giacomo for a while now and to see them together is a dream come true!! Two master musicians at the top of their game!! More collabs like this please!! 🎵🎶
Two of the finest and most creative guitarists of the 21st century. Glad to have seen Giacomo and his band in Washington DC. Keep up the good work boys, you killin it

Giacomo playing through a vintage Fender amp is just so cool.
They both deserve respect. The hand strength and speed to cover fret distance on a bass, and then the clean intricacies and speed of a six string. I only wish I could play both this way at the same time myself. Truly shows what it means to walk hand in hand.
The fusion, the funky jazz are comeback!!! I love this new generation...Giacomo with Matteo Mancuso are writing the new music ... They are Aliens , of another Planet...and they are italians... We are lucky on this time: we can see them in live and live with their music. Good job...👏👏👏👏💙
@@Ardano62 I think you are very young and so you don't know what fusion been. You wrote many incorrect things: you have to study the Harmony jazz for undestein which kind of music you are listening: the rock Is aggressiv and hard but it rythm is linear Is Always in line, does't have sincopatic bars. The fusion are exacltly what Matteo played in this video: an Amazing sound and musical phrases got inside the tipycal fusion ambient...sincopatic, playin on up or down the battere or levare and many others Amazing fusion riff. You have to listen the fusion music 80 90...Jeff Lorber Fusion...Mezzoforte, Casiopea, U Zeb and many others...do maybe you Can undestein the difference between the fusion dinamic music and the static, lineary rock. But i don't believe you can learn this or other music...becouse your post is hugly of youre Shure convincions...so you not can be open in brain to accept Who tell you the true. Of you are a musician please change job... the agricoltura needs a arms like yours and so you can relax your cofused mind.
@@user-qj8bb6zm6x i know jeff lorber, i know fusion, jazz and funk and i love it. I’m just saying that this isn’t like it at all. I know this isnt classic rock but it is closer to instrumental rock like joe satriani than fusion, jazz and funk. Tell me whats really syncopated in this composition. The waterfall of 16 notes are removing any real syncopations. Listen to james brown if you want to learn about syncopation.
Giacomo is the most rhythmically precise guitar player I've ever heard. His skills are super human, like a funky alien from another world. And I'm so psyched that he is going to be in San Francisco in July. I saw him in Berkeley last year, and it was incredible!
Yay ☺ Still here for Giacomo's nod at the end of his vids. He has the best steez when it comes to funk guitar. Love to see this channel grow!!! Props on getting Charlie's collab 💪
Got to see Giacomo play his piccolo bass in Denver last November. Great show! Still kicking myself for not going to the bowling alley show the night before.
