That piece you don’t need im fairly sure is to go in place of the center gears in the diff to just lock it out completely if you want. Also for lube im trying out some cv joint grease in mine, just seemed convenient cuz its thick and not messy cuz it comes in a tube👍🏼
@@joshsrcs diff oil os waaayyy thicker it helps provide limited slip to the diff and when using shock oil you two rear wheels will simply "diff out" easily when in a turn. where one wheel starts spinning very fast in a turn while the other stays put. Usually the diff oil should be somewhere from 20k to 100k
Nice, 200k would be for a center diff i believe but if you are racing it common to have about 10-20k more thicker weight in the front than the rear. With oil that thick I bet it's fun to powerslide
If you stripped any screws i recommend getting the MIP 2mm and 1.5mm hex drivers because they fit real nice and are made of a really hard material, ive had them for about 5 years and never stripped a screw before and ive even used them for non-screw purposes and they have held up fine no wear at all.
It actually came with the diff case. Since it is the same as the Traxxas one you could order one of theirs that comes with their diff. And while you’re at it I’d probably switch to the plastic case because it doesn’t deteriorate like the aluminum one does. Trust me, I’ve got the blow gears to prove it.
Thanks for the response... I still can't find it anywhere but will continue to search... I've got about a dozen plastic diff carriers because ya have to buy the whole set to get the little blue gaskets/washers. I love to hate Traxxas!
Wtf? How about nuu to all of that . Blue o rings on the INSIDE of diff . 20k rear . 60k front . 200 or 250k if have main . Absolute savage . Do not run on tarmac unless you have appropriate rubber *no prob just eats them up . And get a temp gun check it often so you dont cook motor or esc YOU WELCOME
