What is your Favorite Slasher Film? Sorry for the late posting. My computer has been crashing like crazy, but I'm resolving the issue.

Looks like a good game. Hard to really choose a favorite slasher film, I pretty much love em all.

Still waiting for my copy from the original crowdfunding campaign. Glad to see someone talk about it though, maybe it'll eventually hit my table as well.

Looks great, would definitely like to play this one. I agree that the more realistic terrain is a big improvement from the cut acrylic. As for Slasher movies, I love 80's horror and the Friday 13th series, but actually prefer the more cheesy later installments when Jason is a zombie (6 onwards). The Rise of Leslie Vernon is awesome, and also got a soft spot for some of the nonsense later films such as Cherry Falls (2000) and Urban Legends (1998).

Yeah it just makes the atmosphere more submersible and I think the acrylic helps peeps who aren’t the most crafty so it works out. Those are solid choices! Not seen Cherry Falls so I’ll have to check it out haha

The proto‐slasher _Psycho_ is one of my top favorite films, period. Itʼs primo Hitchcock. Iʼm not much of a fan of the genre _Psycho_ spawned, but I certainly enjoyed the slasher homage _Scream._ I could enjoy a slasher‐inspired game, but I donʼt think Slash‐accre! is for me-I generally prefer games where the player roles are equal. I appreciated your presentation, and it was a lot of fun exploring your customization ideas. I wouldnʼt mind seeing a follow‐up someday, once youʼve customized further. A little passion is good for the hobby!

Psycho was excellent!! Haha What do you mean roles are equal? Like legit the same roles not versus another? I don’t think it would be thematic without that element so I may not be understanding what you mean 😅😅

@@TabletopIsland By equal roles I mean that each player has the same goals, follows the same rules, and starts with like resources or opportunities. In practice, there often is a bit of imbalance-player order can skew advantage, for instance, and in some games each player‐character might have some unique ability, but the differences might be sufficiently small and/or balanced for the roles to be “equal enough”. In a slasher game, player‐role equality need not violate theme: The slasher could be a non‐player character, each player could control both a slasher and one or more potential victims, etc.

@@Erik.Miller Fair enough. Camp Grizzly is kinda like that, but still player abilities and uncontrolled randomness.

@@TabletopIsland Camp Grizzly does sound interesting, but itʼs the prices on eBay that are the real horror! 😱🤪

Good review, game looks interesting, assuming it kinda plays like the second half of Betrayal? So are the wooden huts used for like protection or safe houses?

Thanks Buddy! Kinda similar except in betrayal it can be a scenario different from just a killer. Some pretty weird ones haha. The wooden houses are where you explore to complete objectives and get cards. Killers can get you there 😬😬
