Yes i recommend you read into, localized fredrick Peterson string placement or for short LFPSP . It started in around 1972 and jerry garcia was a big fan of it, he incorporated it lots on europe 72’. There is tons about it in the internet just google it. Lots of artists liked a more localized bendix positioning , kind of like a double switch vibrato key bar that you see waylon Jennings either sitting on, or activating with his right foot.

Convenient that the tech "has" to play the priceless guitars to get them to feel right haha. Guy has an awesome job! Itd be cool to have someone who can change your pickups whenever you want haha. But for guitar 2, Myles has a great ear for tone that ive heard in the past. Either way sounds killer so far!
I don't know if Myles is playing guitar on this album. He wasn't present when laying down the recorded guitars, as far as I can tell from these videos, and they have a touring rhythm guitarist so he can focus on vocals. Kind of a shame, but I'll take what I can get from these guys :P

Slash what’s with this world on fire bro? Sounds so thick, I’ve even got this on Vinyl from hmv London, well when I asked for it they didn’t have it but then they were kind enough to order it for me, took few weeks to come, it had my name on it, very happy to see that, thanks, this album sits along with GNR records, also let me tell you that I’m really loving the 80-90’s era thing in this one, I don’t know what it is but you the band and the producer has just made another AFD album
Will myles be playing the 2nd guitar on the album like he did on the last album or will the touring guy do it? Or maybe slash himself? I think myles did a very good job on the last album ;)
As I can see there are 2 Epiphone guitars in this video. One Les Paul at the time you mention (most definitely) and one explorer shortly after that. Slash plays Epiphones? Cool! 😉
dose anyone know if Ace was always his guitar tech I know slash had a guy since gnr to velvet relover just not sure if its the same guy for this band too
His old guitar tech was Adam Day (GnR/VR) I don't know why they're not working together anymore, but Slash's wife said all was okay between them though.
RickyboyH I believe Day went to go work for Neil Schon of Def Leppard. But Day was Slash's guy all the way up until VR went on hiatus and before Slash started doing his solo record stuff.

Nope, Ace met Slash when he was a background musician at a Cypress Hill 20th Anniversary show, Slash just so happened to be playing with them as well. Him and Slash hit it off during rehearsals and got Ace's business card, Slash kept calling him back and the rest is history. He's been his tech since 2011 or 2012 I think. Ace has been a guitar tech before.

When he said "melody maker" he wasnt talking about the epiphones. He was talking about the Gibson Les Paul Melody Maker. They are the cheapest gibson les Paul's you can get. Not bad tho

But one thing is for sure, there is a lot of talking from Slash and his Bass Player about motorhead new album "AfterShock", so i am betting the next album will be one of the most heavier cd of his entire career,
Yes, Slash's Appetite guitar was a fake Gibson Les Paul equipped with Seymour Duncan Alnico II Pro pickups. When Gibson manufactured all those Slash Appetite signature guitars they used the specs from the fake Gibson.
