Join me as I show you what I have learned in the operation and cleaning of the Slavic Beauty Cream Separator. Oh and yes I said WARSHED.....lol Also I turned down the volume so it wouldn't bug ya too much during the separator running. Another thing to remember is that milk from the store can't really be separated. The commercial high speed homogenization process removes the fat particals so it can't be (cause that's what they want). But we do get some cream from the process as you can see. So if it CAN seperate a little cream from milk that you can't separate, just imagine what fresh milk will do! Thanks folks for watching!

Have you experimented with the set screw? I watched another video that said moving the screw outwards made the cream heavier. So I am wondering if you have tried other settings?
@OzarkMountainGoats
@OzarkMountainGoats 2 года назад
Yes you can adjust to make heavy cream. Make sure you have heated the milk to 100 deg F and open the valve slowly and only part way. You may have to play with the screw to figure out where you like it. Hope this helps.
@SlavicBeauty
@SlavicBeauty 7 месяцев назад
How to regulate cream thickness on the Slavic Beauty cream separator: Did you know that by turning the regulating screw, you can adjust the desired cream thickness? The ratio of skim milk to cream is 1-4:10. This means you can get from one gallon of cream to four gallons of cream from ten gallons of milk, depending on the setting ( it also depends on how much fat is in the milk). If the regulating screw is flush with the plastic cone, this is the medium setting. The ratio is about 2:10. Start with this setting and see how it works for you. About 1.5-2 full turns clockwise are the highest setting from that position. (1:10) this is where you get the thickest cream. From the medium position (screw flush with the plastic cone), 1.5-2 full turns counterclockwise - you will get the most cream, but it will not be thick (4:10). I like to put my separator closer to the highest setting (the thickest cream), and then if I need the cream to be more liquid, I just dilute it back with skim milk.

It has been a year -- how did this work for you with goat milk??? I have little ones (kids) due in a month and wondering if I need this machine. I make more cheese than we can eat and usually just scoop the cream off the top for my coffee. Thanks.
@OzarkMountainGoats
@OzarkMountainGoats 2 года назад
We like it. And as you know you can make some cheese with skim milk. As long as you put it together correctly, warm your milk, realese milk slowly and wait til motor is running full speed before letting milk flow it should work well for you. Thanks for watching

How are ya gonna milk? By hand or machine? I've seen goats milk in Walmart by the quart very expensive it's like 4 to 5 dollars.
@OzarkMountainGoats
@OzarkMountainGoats 3 года назад
Yes, I have heard about milk in different markets and the people that I talked to was not very happy with quality. I have never had it except very fresh so I don't know about store bought. I can't tell much difference between cow and goat milk (very little) but it has to be handled properly. We will be milking by machine. I bought the parts and built one. We did a video on it. Here is a link if interested. Thanks for the question and watching. Jim ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-juuktQJOEis.html

Is the set screw just a normal set screw? Can I go to the hardware store and buy one or is it in someway special? Mine doesn’t seem to have one with it. Thanks!
@OzarkMountainGoats
@OzarkMountainGoats 6 месяцев назад
It's a set screw. I'm not sure about treads or length. I'm sure with what's going on overseas getting any information from them is useless. I'm out of town for a week or I would take mine out and get it figured out for you.

I’m just now looking into getting one of these for raw milk I get from a local dairy farmer. Y question is why does the milk have to be warmed? I’m worried about killing the good bacteria in the milk by warming it up.
@user-pl9xh5ph3u
@user-pl9xh5ph3u 7 месяцев назад
you do not have to warm up milk any warmer that it is when it comes out of the animal. so the milk will not loose any good bacteria, you just warm it up to its original state. cold milk will not separate as cream thickens once cold.

Well I don't understand!! I used my slavic beauty today for first time, disaster, goats milk I have saved just for this for 3 days so about 1 gallon of raw milk, the machine seemed to work perfect but I do I know it is cream? to me it was all still milk? I mean the skim seemed thick, and how do you know you have the set screw for cream correct? anyway NO cream or butter, I tried making butter in mixing bowl No cream? so no butter? I don't get it what a mess and waste of time. No manual either. help
@OzarkMountainGoats
@OzarkMountainGoats Год назад
Usually the screw is kind of even with the outer edge. Did you warm the milk? The milk has to be warmed, I think a little over 113 to 131f. Also some people before running milk through pour the bowl full of 139f water then let the cream separator run for 1 min. After one min has passed let water slowly run through. Then when it's warmed up and water is completely gone run warmed milk through The more you tighten screw the thicker cream should be. Don't tighten to much at a time. ,,1/4 turn till you get it right. You can keep running cream and milk back through. Hope this helps!
@cimarronvalleyranchkikos1753
@@OzarkMountainGoats Yes! warmed but I didn't arrange the cones? I don't have a manual and didn't know they had an order till after I ran milk through?
@SlavicBeauty
@SlavicBeauty 7 месяцев назад
it seems like you have a lot of confusion about how the unit works and what it is used for. i would love to explain to you everything in details. reach out directly. separator does not make butter. it separates cream. cream comes out liquid and later gets thicker. thats' why you need to warm up the milk. cold thick cream won't come out of the cream separator. its just physics. will be happy to walk you through the process

This is NOT a Chinese cream separator. Chinese knock offs look similar on the photo. However, the quality of SlavicBeauty cream separator is way better and the materials used are durable and high quality. Chinese units are made of cheap materials and unfortunately break easily. I have fotos of the drum of the Chinese unit that exploded during separation. I have a video on my youtube channel where one of my customers , who had an experience with the chinese unit , explains the difference

Ours has been a good one but we got it a few years back. They are made in Ukraine and I have heard from different people that they had to send them back. I'm guessing the war in that country is causing some manufacturing issues.

@@OzarkMountainGoats Jim, was it an issue with Slavic Beauty brand? Because we have all the spare parts in stock in the USA and also have a service center in the US. We work exactly the same as before. There are so many chinese knock offs now that people confuse with our units. because they look the same. I recommend to always buy on our website to avoid this problem.
