When I see old recordings, one thing becomes clear to me again and again - the old analog technology with tube amps, analog mixers, etc. simply sounds warmer, fuller and more aggressive than digital technology and Fractals. Sure, it was susceptible to moisture, etc., but when the conditions were good, this technology was many times better in terms of sound.
@ConservativeKirbyXIcKXI i was there, UFO was the last band tht played but Slayer took the cake. i even recorded tht gig with my walkman haha but doesn*t matter if you believe or not it was a blast, have a nice day kirby
thats sick man. love that they did a bunch from Show No Mercy. also dig how they have the song titles in the background, ive never seen that before but its a cool idea to help get more exposure and help fans get the music they want. ive seen so many shows and plenty of times thought holy shit thats a sick band wtf is the name of the song lol

I have seen Slayer probably 15 or 20 times. Tom's intro's in the early days were always really bizarre. I remember some the really graphic ones about Necrophiliac where he had to fight to keep from cracking up.
"HOW MANY OF YOU GUYS LOVE OLDER WOMEN????IM TALKING ABOUT THE KIND THAT ARE SIX FEET UNDERGROUND. YOU KNOW WHATS BEST ABOUT THESE OLDER WOMEN? WHEN YOU EAT THEM OUT YOU CAN TASTE THE MAGGOTS CRUNCHING IN YOUR TEETH. THIS SONG IS CALLED NECROPHELIAC!!!!!!" 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Ich war dort... zwei Tage ÜBELSTE Party.... !!!!! Inzwischen hab ich Slayer schon ca. 12 mal gesehen. Zuletzt beim Matapaloz Festival der Onkelz am Hockenheimring. 🤘😎👍 .
Oh my gawd, this is amazing! I actually didn’t even know Slayer in 85 but one year later they became my favourites and stayed for a long long time. These songs are already fast enough but they play them even faster here! RIP Jeff Hanneman
I was friends with Jeff Hannemen on My-space way, way back. It said he made over 200 grand a year. I saw them at House of Blues Vegas Mandalay Bay Christ Illusions tour, 500 people sold out. I sold my extra ticket 4 times face value, stood 3 feet in front of Jeff the whole concert. RIP
96 was the first time I saw them out of like 12 or so times. The first Ozzfest before there was a year attached to it. Very rare show as only 3 locations got the first Ozzfest and also John Dette was drumming for them which only happened at a handful of shows.
The sound is great! One of the guitars is out of tune a lot, but i guess when you hammer the crap out of your guitar playing sick af speed metal its probably gonna happen lol
I grew up in South Gate, Ca. I putting a hit on the soundman for discretion my friend's. I will find you. Don't ever work a sound board again.. I'm not kidding. 15:22
@@stephenwinchester6668 Back in the 80's lots of people wore that flag cuz they thought slayer was a racist band, especially when they wrote angel of death. Nazi's in the U.S. would wear that flag with the slayer logo drawn over it. They'd also wear S.O.D. shirts for the same reason, clueless that it was sarcasm making fun of people like them.
