I filmed this at the Hampton Coliseum in Virginia, as part of the Clash Of The Titans Tour. This show was transferred directly from THE master copy, so this is the best quality out there.
I was at this concert. I still can't hear right because of it. But I had a fucking great time!! I still have a tee shirt and ticket stub from the show.
I was only 15 when I saw this tour in San Diego and it was my second concert. My parents didn't want me to go to this show but I bought a ticket anyway and hid it behind a Faith No More poster, taped to the wall. hahaha.
Haha I was 15 also! 4 of us that are still close friends today went to this at trout air in Minnesota. My buddy looked 10 years older so we got beers no problem. Great times!
Lamb of god Central don’t underestimate spiders my friend. Especially ones such as the brown recluse, black widow, hobo spider, Sydney funnel web, redback, or the Brazilian wandering spider. All of their venom is extremely potent. Plus they’re masters of stealth
Tom used to be so intense live before his neck surgeries. The last 5 years of the bands career seemed unhappy for him. He spoke a lot about how he didn’t like touring because he didn’t want to miss his grandkids growing up. I’m glad that they hung it up before they embarrassed themselves. What a great band.
Tom seems like a great guy. He doesn't live too far from me (He lives in Buffalo, TX), and I'm glad he is happy with where he is in life. He earned it, that's for sure.
Fuck man, look at that set list, they really did peak around Seasons, anything after that album never came close, they could have played this set list right up to the day they retired and I would have been happy with that.
OMFG I could almost cry right now from the flashback i'm having of pure joy and excitement I felt as the 17 yr old kid AT THIS VERY SHOW! THIS was my FIRST CONCERT EVER! Alice in Chains opened then Anthrax(Persistence of Time era) and then Megadeth(Rust in Peace era) and of course SLAYER headlined!CLASH OF THE TITANS TOUR \m/ :*) DUDE You made my fucking day, holyshit THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for uploading this! Omfg I cant believe im seeing this again! Rest Easy in Eternity and know only Love,Joy,and Peace in the Afterlife,Jeff Hanneman!
i caught the tour in Sacramento california. gift from my sister for my 18th birthday. now i'm 44 and that was the only time i went to a concert. but it was the experience of a life time. from the endless supply of beer in the parking lot and while waiting in line, walking in to alice in chains playing bleed the freak .to me jumping from the seated area down onto the crowd elbowing someone in the back as slayer kicked into reign in blood. yes i started the first pit of the night. the EMT'S were busy that night.broke a pinky finger slightly concused and a sprained ankle. greatest time ever.
I caught them on the European leg of Clash of the Titans. Was my first concert too. I still think we got the better line-up in Europe. Suicidal Tendencies. Testament. Megadeth. Slayer. Best concert of my life. I was 15. Tempus fugit.
I can't believe just how steady handed this film is. In was at one point thrashing so hard in a seat I thought I was gonna rip it out. That was me resting after living in the pit for a couple hrs.
The sound is so good cuz the camera mic picked up the sound from the PA and coming of the arena's walls. This one makes you feel like you are really there. They are so tight, so fast for the time.
War ensemble is so awesome but everysong on seasons in the abyss is very good thats the cd i play in my car now along with metallica kill em all and death spirtual healing all lengendary metal albums
I was at this show! The coliseum was ready to explode! Every band that came out was greeted to the entire coliseum screaming " SSSSLLLLAAAAYYYYEEERRRR" The coliseum has terrible acoustics so all you could really make out was Dave's kick drum underneath the sound of a jet taking off. Its nice to finally be able to properly hear it. Thanks!
@purplejesus28 Obituary is a death metal band and death metal is highly influenced by slayer, there would have no death metal without bands like Slayer and Venom
I saw this show literally one day before this one! 30 JUN 91 in Baltimore. Irony for me is that I grew up in Va Beach, so for the first few years of my concert-going life, the Coliseum was my MSG. Fun fact: Cliff Burton's last show in the US before he died was at this venue. Check the dates: 3 AUG 86.
You are correct. I was at that Metallica show. It was the first time I saw them and the last show of the tour in the States before they left for Europe. The road crew came out and took Lars' drum set away from him piece by piece while they were playing Master of Puppets! Such a good show.
I was there. There were literally bonfires being lit everywhere on the ground level. TYSM for this \m/ 0 \m/ Best metal show ever! Anthax had to stop the show due to the barrier being pretty much destroyed. This show was insane & I was outta my mind! Could barely move my body for a week afterwards.
Great memories! I caught this tour twice in as many days. June 14th Tinley Park,IL outside of Chicago then the next day my buddies & I drove 90 minutes to see it again at Alpine Valley in East Troy,WI. Great times!
What a great video of them during this era. I saw them on their Seasons tour ], January of 91 in Milwaukee with Testament as openers. I was right up on the stage in front of Jeff for the first half. Then got caught in a mosh and ended up in front of Kerry. My ears rang for 3 days after.
I saw this show twice in New York. The security guards asked us to vote for who played first, second, and third. I thought that was pretty awesome. This sure brings back memories!
Saw this tour 5 days earlier at 16 years old. As soon as the opening notes of Hell Awaits hit, still daylight, the dust cloud from the mosh pit was part of the overall incredible experience of that show. All 4 bands delivered.
Haha YES! This was my first concert!! I saw the show at the Baltimore Arena the night before or after this show. I was 14 and my mom and one of her friends took me Haha. I stayed on the floor and they stayed in the seating area. GREAT TIMES 🤘
Hhmm, I think I missed this one. School got in the way around this time. I remember seeing Megadeth with Dio and Savatage at the Scope and MD again at the Boathouse; Slayer at the Boathouse too. I recall that last song there by Slayer; Araya said "OK, what do you want to hear?" The whole crowd chanted "Angel of Death!", "Angel of Death!"
Clash was my first concert at the Summit Houston Texas. AIC, Megadeth, Slayer, then Anthrax. Watching all those fold out chairs moving across the top of the crowd like ants moving there food. Huge pit. The largest I’ve ever seen even to this day.
Damn...I remember that concert so well....megadeth slayer anthrax and Alice in chains...everyone put on a damn good show 👏..the crowd was going crazy and had about 4 pits opened up when slayer did south of heaven and raining blood..to me them concerts and the 80s was the heavy metal shows of all times!!!!....me and my friends had a blast that night...I give anything to go back to 1990 and see that tour again...hell yes!!!!!!!
Great set this show at their most brutal, best show I seen was Slayer, Pantera, Morbid Angel! The pits and fans were off the hook, Noone gets the juices flowing better then Slayer. They are the epitome of Thrash Metal and always stayed true to that. Long live Slayer and Metal music 🤘💯
Thanks you for this, DJ Golly-G. This definitely looks better than the copy that I had on VHS. I was curious as to why the left and right frame barriers keep shifting throughout the video? Was this caused by the RU-vid stabilization? It's fine once you get used to it, but it does seem odd at first.
This place was beyond insane! The arena floor actually had small fires being lit all over the place where ever you turned. The pits were absolutely insane! AIC were among Thrash Metal Gods! Even at 18 I new this was an epic show to out brutalize even the best. \m/ .. \m/
I was fucking there. It was the last "big concert before my senior year of high school" thing. My buddies and I were fucked up on all kinds of drugs (yeah, something to be proud of, I know, but it is what it is ). My point is this really takes me back Slayer was awesome
