Accept no substitutes only the REAL catman can play and sing lead vocals like this. Listen to that groove! Best drummer/vocalist Kiss ever had. I cleaned up the audio to bring out Pete's playing, the Kissology source is pretty muffled.
@SwitchFoot2007 Well, watch this example and you have U-tube buddy, any Peter Criss and Ace stuff shined like a mother fucker, sorry about my language!!!
Young, hungry for recognition and, of course, broke... the recipe for one hell of a good show! This whole concert film is stuffed with incredible footage! It's one of my favorite Kiss concerts!
For all the shit Paul talks about Peter, he was on fire in this concert footage. Personally i always saw Paul's schtick as a cheesy construct while Peter was a genuine rock star.
Peter had a great voice, Paul should have stepped to the side and let Peter sing way more songs in the early days, but narcissistic jealous insanity is what actually pissed Peter and Ace off, not just coke and booze, after the the Phantom of the Park stupid movie, Peter said enough of this bullshit, and they made dynasty, which Peter was only on 2 songs and Ace 1!!! They didn't want to do no disco bullshit like I was made for loving you!!!! Peter had already cashed out, mentally!!! And, I don't blame him!!!
@@yosefavraham9819 I Agree Paul is in love with himself they would have done better with someone else in that position to much goofy stuff that Paul did as a put-off.
Paul not only is a self centered narcissist, but he thinks he has to be that way to prove himself... to himself. And why? All because of an ear? Mom and dad didn't love him enough and no bitches? Well that's what he told us in his book
It's easy to see any one of them as the "bad guy" these days. They've all done their shit whether it was greed, drugs, trash talk, etc. But in this footage, it's 4 hungry Rockstar killing it. Paul was the obvious frontman but here he played his part as the rhythm guitarist, and they all did what they did best, put on an incredible live performance.
@@petermasters6 Peter Criss rocks screw what so-called critics say they are all just jealous that they live boring lives so they have to put someone else down to make themselves feel less pathetic.
My first concert was KISS at the Kitchener-Waterloo in 1975 when I was 17. Had floor seats about 20 rows back and stood on the seat the entire time. It was awesome!
Idk if I would say carry… yes he was amazing but the other three were just as big of a part as he was. All of the songs Peter sang were written by Paul. Without Paul, there wouldn’t be a Peter.
@@315fishing5 i would say that they would have never made it without each other. They were always a band which had 4 core members which all were important
Listen to him beat the shit out of the skins, and Ace guitar playing!!! So, I am sorry Ace helped carry the other two delusional idiots as well!!! Team Peter and Ace always
Sólo era un niño en esa época, hoy casi con 57 años, sigo disfrutando de esta canción y magistral actuación del grupo mas caliente del Rock ...KIIIISSSS!!!!🎸🇲🇽
Im 12 now and kiss is my favourite band ever I bassicly know everything about it i wish i was born in the 1970s it would of been the best to see them in real life and also i don't realy mind the new kiss with Tommy Thayer and Eric Singer,my favorite drummer is probably going to be even Eric Carr or Peter Criss but if i had to pick one it would be Eric Carr rest in peace my fox friend you are the best rest in heaven 🙏🙏
Peter was the best singer by far. Should have sung way more songs. I don’t care if gene and Paul had to write them for him. It would have made the band so much better
That's the point!!!!!! He should have definitely sung more songs that the delusional front man Stanley!!!!!!!!! Duh, this Hard Luck Woman and Beth are the fan favorites, and guess who sung all 3?????? Catman
Check out Black Diamond performed by Eric Carr with make-up in AUSTRALIA, before Ace split. That performance is on fire.. with double kick bass! Granted, I love this performance, but Eric was so much better. Saw them with Vinnie Vincent and Eric Carr. I was bummed it wasn't the original line up, but the musicianship was top notch in comparison.
@@kevinchandler179 Delusional? Fan favourites? Yep, his solo album & solo career really proved he should have been singing more didn't they? The fans avoided those albums like they came with a dose of the Ebola virus.
I recall being told that Rod Stewart was under Consideration to sing Hard luck woman in 1976 for his album, but it never took fruition and Catman sang it instead for Rock and Roll over with the brilliant Sean Delaney!!!!!!!
We got a drummer who can channel Little Richard with ease, but we're gonna regulate him to being "The Ringo" and give him a song or two to sing. Maybe. The dude could outsing Stanley & Simmons combined. Their egos just could not handle that.
Maybe he should have learned to write some songs himself instead of waiting for hand me downs from the other guys or "co-writes" (cough, cough) with his buddy Stan.
Like Simmons and Stanley were even bothered to write songs once their ship came in. They dialled half those songs in once they got to Dressed To Kill. I'm just saying. They had huge talents in their band with Peter Criss and Ace Frehley. Those guys cared about THE MUSIC. Those other two were in it for the MONEY. @@ajo3085
I truly dare anyone who says Peter Criss in his prime is not a good drummer, U-tube any old school Kiss which you can, and his drum solos and talk shit about a living legend drummer!!!
That's why their solo careers have outranked KISS? rrrrright... They were cool as part of the KISS collective but totally sucked once they left the band. Paul and Gene were the true heart of KISS.
Nobody, said solo careers!!! And, Gene and Paul didn't have actual solo careers, they hired impostors always!!!! If it wasn't for Peter and Ace, then Paul and Gene would still be living in a scumbag apartment playing with Wicked fuckin Lester!!!!
George Peter John Criscuola, (20 de diciembre de 1945) es el baterista original, y miembro fundador del grupo de hard rock Kiss. Su alter-ego o nombre artístico es "El Hombre Gato" (Catman en inglés).
More cowbell! 😂 Peter has one of the best screams in all of rock. Meanwhile, Paul is a great showman, and turned into a great writer for a while (not in decades now), but he was never more than mediocre as a guitarist. This track is a great example of someone who's great to watch and terrible to hear.
Hands down , the original lineup was and is an incredible band ! It’s too bad Gene and Paul couldn’t get out of the way during the reunion ! I’m not saying Ace and Peter were angels but it’s hard to believe things were that bad ! During the 80s I wasn’t a Kiss fan , it wasn’t until the 90s I went back and listened to original albums because I wanted to see what all the fuss always about ! After getting alive , I got why so many bands were influenced by them !
Peter criss played this as good as any drummer could ever play it! I’m so sick of the people that make any bad comment about him because he was amazing and just drive the hell out of tat band. They were the only band for me and When he and Ace left, I left
Señores oficialmente conocí a KISS en 1980 y hoy a mis 53 años aun correoteo al conejo en el pais de las maravillas y no he vuelto. Alguien sabe el camino?
Truly Kiss the original lineup was great..Ace on lead guitar..Peter Criss on drums.. and his voice was is very unique!! Black Diamond in my is Kiss's best song!! But Gene & Paul have too big of Egos.! And they got rid of Peter & Ace..The band was never the same!!
