W: These two Presidents have swore an oath to protect their country from any and all threats. But what we didn’t expect is that threat includes the undead. B: Zombies and Vampires beware as we take a look into the secret lives of these two Presidents. He’s Wiz and I’m Boomstick. W: And it's our job to analyze their weapons, armor, and skills to find out who would win a Death Battle! I love history, I love parodies and Zombies and Vampires. Mix them altogether and we get this incredible MU. Two American Presidents fight the undead to save the country. I highly recommend the books: George Washington Zombie Slayer and Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter. Zombie Slayer written by David Wiles, and Vampire Hunter written by Seth Grahame-Smith. Both are a good read. Vampire Hunter is a good movie as well. It’s worth a watch. Now if Zombie Slayer ever gets to be a movie, then this would be my number one most wanted MU. Hopefully Death Battle Cast does an episode of this. As for the track, horrifying and phenomenal. The theme I gave Brandon was patriotism mixed horror and he has certainly delivered. The patriotism of “My Country Tiss of Thee” mixed with Horror is a perfect choice. The drums trumpets and flutes also gives the time period of the Revolutionary War and Civil War. Like it gives marching armies vibes. And the Piano solo, holy hell the piano solo is the Chef’s Kiss of this track. The artwork is effing fantastic as always. This is properly the most “out there MU” I can think of. Anyone agree? Also, how do you think this battle would play out? Thanks again Brandon. I hope you can accept more commissions in the future. I don’t know the book or movie, but I can guess that the fight would start with the two fighting zombies and vampires, then bump into each other, as George thinks Abraham is a ally, but Abraham is shocked to see George alive, then mistakes him as one of the monster they were fighting, leading to the fight starting

I’ve only seen Abraham Lincoln Vampire slayer and that movie is actually AWESOME! Don’t know George Washington Zombie Slayer though.

My honest reaction "what, both of these characters are a thing? Huh neat." A track of patriotism and hunting those that go bump in the night.

With that title I was fully expecting this to be a Master Chief VS Doomslayer track V2. However I'm happy that it isn't that but a new matchup. Why ? Purely because that name would have been awful for a Master Chief VS Doomslayer track. Still, that definitely is an unconventional matchup. Quite the wacky one but really cool IMO. And the track follows suit. It manages to combine really well horror aspects with more stereotypically patriotic and heroic segments that fit perfectly for the characters. I kinda like how seriously the song takes itself. It reminds me a bit of Ketchup and Flush Down: the song knows how wacky the matchup is so it goes out of its way to sound as cool as possible. And that's especially audible during the more heroic and patriotic segments such as the whole entire part from 2:28 to 3:40 where the song genuinely sounds epic and and heroic as hell while even having an ounce of tragedy to it. It's so stereotypically heroic in the same vein as Verbing The Noun was but it fits so well for the matchup; it's a parody on the same level as the source material of the matchup and I really like it for that. I'm not as big a fan of the more horror-focused segments but it's mostly due to personal taste as they also do a really good job at sounding like stereotypical horror bits in the best of ways with very sharp and frantic high pitched notes. So on that side they fully succeed. But going back on what I was saying before, I'll return to the whole entire 2:28-3:40 segment which is definitely the highlight of the song as a whole to me as it perfectly captures that epic tragic and heroic feeling I described before. And gosh damn it sounds cool at it. Special mention for the small 3:26-3:40 segment which I really like due to how calm and composed it sounds while still reflecting the same emotions the more active segments using that melody have. I'm repeating myself but I just love how well this song uses the "generic" tones it's given into a genuinely enjoyable song. And that's something that's even audible into the ending starting at 4:11 which makes the song's ending feel like an actual movie score; the type of stuff you'd hear at the end of the movie when the hero rides into the sunset while mourning the loses of their friends and allies (or in this case, mourning the loss of an enemy they've learned to respect) but still looking forward to a better day at their end. It's, once again, so stereotypical but also so cool. I really like this ending, a great conclusion to the song. Overall this track is one that I find extremely peculiar. By all means it should feel generic due to every tone and detail it uses but instead it massively stands out due to how well it uses those tones and details to turn something that would otherwise feel done and redone into something that genuinely feels unique and really enjoyable. Almost makes me want to give a look at the story of those two franchises, almost. Amazing job as always with this.

I’ll be honest, as a person who’s into both, the Revolutionary History of America and the American Civil War History, I’d be torn, I wouldn’t be able to choose between these two. One, who kills zombies and the other who kills vampires.
