6:40 “I would much rather have aces or kings to unblock him having a Q” You’d also beat QT or Q9 if you had AA/KK, which AQ doesn’t. I’d be very surprised to be behind with KK whereas AQ might well be.
@tomohawk52
@tomohawk52 8 месяцев назад
I wonder if having KK is better than AA since you unblock AQ which he may be calling with the unsuited variety preflop to the 3-bet?
@JohnSmith-nx7zj
@JohnSmith-nx7zj 8 месяцев назад
@@tomohawk52yeah I can see that. Although I guess with KK there’s the slight concern about him deciding to get trappy with AA so there’s probably not a lot in it.

Another advantage of KK is that it blocks KJ.

I wouldn't expect to be behind with AQ either, if we think V's are 4B'ing pre with AA/KK in a 1-3-6 game with 3 or 4 pros/regs at the table, unless we want to go down the rabbit holes of "does he never raise sets on flop" and "does he never raise straights on turn". The way this was played, I'd be most worried about KJ, 99, and As2s, whether I had AA/KK or AQ.

This hand does not offer much. The flop sizing was of some interest. I was in the same place as Bart - surprised because the caller made it sound like he was going big & then told us he went half pot. I think I'd probably have gone a bit bigger, but it seems fine. After that, Bart was on point that the turn card was sort of in between. It's not a really good card nor a really bad card. River card was great for hero. Only issue on the river is that 580 does not add up. We started with 900, bet 80 pre [820], bet 80 flop [740], bet 240 turn [500].

Definitely betting bigger on flop with TPTK, and checking turn if V calls. Betting river if V checks-back turn. So many 2P combos in V's range, not to mention KJ.

Great hand. Another argument for jamming is that are we gonna check-fold the river against a jam? If the opponent is a very weak player who is gonna fold KQ or QJ and never bluff a hand like JT or JJ then I guess you could go ahead and check-fold but that seems pretty gross

This is where using a GTO betting strategy comes in so handy, you want to force your opponent into playing all of his range as Bluff catchers.

I bet he had AK or possibly KT to not show the Q. I wonder if it was a Ks. Caller probably would've mentioned it. A gutter and 2 overs on the flop. If hes fishy, he'll call with this draw on the turn, even if not spades. Then with the polar action, he decides to look him up with AK. I've seen fish do this so many times. I guess an argument against this hypothesis is that the snap calls are probably more indicative of KQ.
@1vailchris
@1vailchris 8 месяцев назад
Most likely he showed the K to imply he had KQ, and hero had him out-kicked. But he could do that with KQ, KT, or AK.
@evadecaptcha
@evadecaptcha 8 месяцев назад
@@1vailchris Exactly, that's why I think AK or KT is more likely. Because from my experience, most often when people show one card to imply what the other card is, they are often trying to imply it's something that it's not. I think he wanted to imply that he didn't call down as light as he actually did.
@1vailchris
@1vailchris 8 месяцев назад
@@evadecaptcha The snap call is the twist here. No matter what V had, I'd think he'd take a moment to think back through the hand, since hero's line looks like he's repping KJ. Even KQ shouldn't necessarily be a snap call, unless he thinks hero's frequently out of line with a hand like QJ. But KQ is really the only hand that V could have that MIGHT be a snap-call, blocking both the nut straight and top set. It's pretty insane to snap with AK or KT here.

I highly doubt it, especially on the major sites. Been playing for a few years now, and haven't lost yet, but I haven't deposited yet either I have a $370 bankroll just playing freerolls, and low stakes. About ready to deposit $200, and step it up a bit. That will give me a decent bankroll of around $800 with minimal investment other than $200, and a lot of time, but fun times either way. We will see! 😁👍😎✌🗽

@@luismatosoliveira4117 Being into online poker, how could I not see the current news! I don't get the purpose of bots, and how they operate? I would assume any account, bot or not would need to deposit if playing real money games? If these accounts are meant to play freerolls to gain a bankroll it hasn't had an effect on my ability to win money in the same manner. I don't get what bots are about, and think I can beat them anyway. Now, the one dude who had knowledge of a players likelihood of winning, (I forget the term) that's something to worry about, but I think they fixed that. There will always be cheating of some form or another, it's been that way since the dawn of gambling 1000's of years ago!.
