It's a good trailer, overall. A PJ trailer like would cost a fortune. I'm going to run a solar kit to keep the dump battery charged in between uses, add the stops like you did, work on the locks for that heavy ass gate as well. But the versatility of these SLE cheap trailers beats other manufacturers and they dont offer the hybrid anyway. Have used for renovations, site work, tree work etc.
@@loudandfree4059 on one of our other trucks I actually did a hydraulic assist for the gate. Literally it opens and closes with a hydraulic ram. There’s a video on my RU-vid channel about it
Well they used those blue connectors for the wire connections and not butt end connectors. The side gate is twisted no nuts on the hinge bolts, brakes not working properly, corners not welded on the bottom, dump switch is wired direct to hyd motor. No quick disconnect to take it off the trailer. They used lug nuts welded to the frame to run the wire for the lights, no wire lum. Paint job is crappie and the didn't clean the slag from around the welds. I never should have left with the trailer but I drove from Fl to TN to pick it up after waiting 16 weeks for them to get it. Any of this on your trailer?
Yes the wiring like that is pretty common on cheaper trailers. I say this is cheaper cause others are like $12k. We got ours with intent to take apart and do stuff to it so we did. Added extra side doors, changed the lighting to LED and added racks and such. We also changed the henges on the gates and added a hydro to the gate. Made the gate heavier. We did plan all of this before we even ordered it.
