I thought about this kind of trailer for years. Started with an 16 foot dovetail. We put the load on the back 8 foot and load our vermeer at the front and just push our loads off the back. Worked for several years. Finally went with a 16 foot dump trailer with flared sides. 8k axels. MaxxD. Love it to death. It fits my 362 stumpy and my vermeer 925 Johnny just fine!.. congrats on your new dually trailer!
Most likely ordering another trailer in the future either tri axle dump like this or a equipment trailer to do the same thing just manually unload logs with my machine
Hi Mike from Michigan… I basically just tried ordering the same trailer from Wilmer that sells diamond c trailers in Ohio and he told me they’re not taking any custom orders right now. Do you know if there’s somebody else I could talk to you I want a 6 foot deck in the front and a 10 foot dump box in the back
I work for j davis tree care out of haltom city tx and we are in need of a goose neck trailer that has 4 ft sides that drop down and has room in the front for a mini skid like this any possibility u guys could help us out with that?
I'd put the mats standing up the same way but outside the box above the fenders on each side. Weight would be towards the back on both sides evenly and you could load them AFTER the wood is loaded. No wasting time staging the logs.
we did do that back in the day I have bought a 30 foot gooseneck deceiver and we haul the mats on that and my bucket truck now tows this ,,,, this trailer is for sale as of now as I ordered a bid 20 foot tandem dually dump trailer
I have a trailer just like this but a 10' dump and I throw a pallet of concrete on the front section and it was designed for two pallets. But it is SO! Tongue heavy. I wish someone would fill this niche need. I want to be able to bring a pallet of concrete, a mini ex and haul dirt away all in one trip and trailer.
Silly question.. how do you load the mini? I assume the trailer has ramps stored underneath or something. Still thinking about selling? Thanks so much for the video; very helpful.
I tow it with a gen y 38k rated hitch 3 inch tube and it is pintle this is a seriously tongue heavy setup so I didn't mess around , if I did it again I'd go tri axle
Yo can you let me know what dealer built this for you because I have been calling to get one built but the local dealers here in Md act like it can’t be done.
If they mad it with enough space for a full size skid loader upfront, which I know is extremely heavy but with a gooseneck and triple axles I think a 350 dually could handle it
If yoy are using a full size skid there is no reason to have this trailer cause you cannot load the trailer and the skid in one shot no reason to , I know guys who load the skid in the dump and their buckets and attachments on the front , if your doing full size skid work kight as well get a small dump truck and equipment trailer to utl8ze them
I tell everyone to call their dealer cause my options yoy might not need also id really recommend 3 axles and 2 hydraulic Jack's loading logs 7 gauge is needed stone and mulch 10 gauge is fine
@@vincents1535 I did just put big tires on my truck and that helps for some reason, I'm going with tri axle that are spaced apart about a foot each if you xan do tandem spaced apart youd be okay , or a 14 foot dump you'd be okay
