I've seen them some weeks ago in Cologne, w/o Amy and Billy. I secretly hoped that Billy might be the opening act but this obviously wasn't the case... Anyway, it was a great gig and the first but certainly not the last time I saw them live. Cheers!
One of the best tracks I have ever heard. Amazing beats, vocal from Jason although no clue what it's about and the incredible turn from Billie. What a chorus! Just wish it was twice as long!
Was working Lattitude last year. Not my kinda festival really but then you lads came as a cancellation replacement. Made my weekend. Saw Jason bout an hour before the gig and shouted 'oy Jason' like the dick I am. Sorry about that.
gutted that I haven't been able to make these shows...but I am going to see Billy Nomates this winter and I am super stoked! I've loved The Mods for long as well as their music they have introduced me to Billy Nomates ....in an odd quirk of coincidence I came across Amyl and the Sniffers from listening to Frenzal Rohmb (if you don't know, get to know...any band with tracks about Russel Crowes shit band, having mates that are racist AND can do a nifty cover of "Home & Away" are worth at least one afternoon), two degrees of Mod separation.... Good grief, there is so much fucking good music these days!
I saved a Bumble bee today from a spiders web.It took me 30 mins to delicately untangle him .3 hours later ,after life in a jar with sugared water ( to hopefully re -galvanise him for the trip home ) , he majestically flew off. It was a beautiful flight and sight .
Managed that myself once. Spotted one caught in a web under the roof of my arbour, just as the spider was closing in to wrap it up. Thankfully got it free but was a frantic few seconds with a bit of dexterity and timing involved to avoid injuring either party. I like spiders too and will help them out the bath or rehome them in my garden from indoors, but I draw the line at bee meals. Weren't that big a spider either, could've dined on that bee for days. But you know, the planet needs them bees a buzzing...
ikr?! If it ain't Brit Floyd performing The Great Gig in the Sky over and over and over again then it just ain't music. ...I'll take these repetitive beats over those, iydm...
