this is a band called Sleep, formed in 1990 in california, playing mainly in stoner/doom/sludge metal genre and they kinda pioneered it, they got disbanded in 98 and reunited again in late 00s, their main infliuences are black sabbath, christian mythology and marijuana, they play exclusively in C standart tunning and blues scales in a slow fashion what you listen here is an early rendition of their infamous 1 hour track/album dopesmoker (aka jerusalem) bass: al cisernos (later formed om) guitar: matt pike (later formed high on fire) drums: chris haiku
Best band you'll ever hear, but only like 4 studio albums. The drummer and bassist formed the band OM, which is similar. There's a lot to unpack with Sleep and OM, so have plenty of bud ready; it's a journey

Man I love the sciences and I’m grateful I got to see these guys on that tour but what I would give to have seen them back in the day with Chris on drums
