@@marzbitenhaussen Nah, its definitely in those amps. He said in an interview at some point that his amps are ran so hard that after a few shows they start to hum.
First time I’ve seen this band live- they rank with Black Sabbath for numero uno in my book of head banging- and I think this guitarist is as rock and roll as anybody- more so. he’s the Iggy pop of heavy music ! He’s not performing as much as just being himself- you can tell. If he was alone in a room playing I’ll bet he’d be just like this. There are many skilled players who ate just talented craftsman- this guy is more of a Shaman! All of them - this is a HELL of a rock and roll band- that spells HEAVEN to me boy.
'a green one' would be more correct. He just kind of gets these for free. In some interviews he has had a slip of the tongue, stating that he prefers different amps, like matamp and soldano
I've always loved sleep, seen them on the danforth in Toronto summer of 2018. Blew my mind. Little depressed today, took 3 grams of shrooms...watching this and feeling super cool now. Thanx yet again sleep....you rock.......
Al and Matt are gods obviously but Jason Roeder was the perfect choice to replace Chris Hakius, his playing is powerful as fuck but grooving at the same time.
I got to see SLEEP and was on the front row and Al tossed me a pick that had a Stoned Astronaut on it,and then 5 months later i went to a HIGH on FIRE gig and was on the front row and Matt tossed me a pick and it was exactly the same one that Al gave me..lol
al and matt should always have some sort of band together. im pretty sad hearing every time they decide to put sleep on hiatus. no matter how om and hof are great bands.
@@dylanwillis1473 i think Al's living and writing process is to take psychedelic trips and read philosophy and that kind of headspace and Matt just loves to get fucked up and play guitar. Ofc this is their younger selves. I think they also know that there is only so much you can get out of their work together.
Wait can someone correct me here im new. I really like the band OM. These guys sound similar but are heavier. Is OM and Sleep the same dudes?! The singer sounds like OM singer too.
In 2003 after sleep disbanded for temporary amount of time, al Cisneros(bassist) and Chris hakius(drummer) created om. In 2009 sleep came back but Chris would retire from music entirely leaving his spot open for Jason roeder of neurosis to take over for him for sleep and Emil Amos to take over for him for OM.
To me the weakest link when Sleep or Als other band Om performs live is his singing. It don't hold up well to be honest. But the music itself is top notch.
@rainbowthrustars I could not agree more! I was thinking of commenting that I wish the vocals were more on point but got scared of pissing off some of the fans 😂 the rest of the music is 11 on ten but the vocals are sadly a 6 maybe
