The drummer, II, has done a drum playthrough of Alkaline (and other songs) on the Sleep Token channel, as well as on Drumeo (which includes a foot cam), if you're interested in seeing how he plays it. Although I'd recommend skipping straight to Alkaline if you go with the Drumeo video, as you risk spoiling other songs for yourself if you want to go down the Sleep Token rabbit hole.

Agreed, if you are trying not to spoil songs I would steer clear of the Drumeo play-throughs as they hit a lot of tracks. The Alkaline “Offering from II” is as good or better than the Drumeo version for angles. Enjoy the journey!

First time I’ve come across your channel. Regardless of potential channel growth, listening to sleep token just feels good. Sounds like you’ve got a keen ear for production and recording, they’ll give you a lot to think about! And as much as I also want live studio performances, there’s none of that yet. Closest thing is there are some live performances called “From the room below” that are piano/vocal driven.

First, can't wait to watch you react to more of their videos. Subbing to make sure I don't miss any. Second, their drummer, in my opinion, is one of the top drummers in modern rock/metal right now. Hands down. Also, he did an interview and playthrough of songs for Drumeo about a month or so back that is killer. This whole band is super talented. Vessel and II (The drummer) write most of the material.

This band is incredible. ii is hands down one of the best drummer in music. And Vessel (who does everything but the drums) is easily one of the best voices and songwriters around.

II, the name of the drummer (band is anonymous), just won Drummeo's metal drummer of the year and overall drummer of the year. He's insanely talented. Plays some pretty intricate and sometimes complicated fills without overplaying and dominating tracks. His groupings and rythms just add layers to Sleep Tokens songs that elevate already great material, and like you said, complement the vocals and guitars. II also has a live playthrough video of this song, which gives you an idea of how awesome he is on the kit.

When you talk about II drumming, first track comes to my mind (The Offering), As someone mentioned, you need a good headphone to live Sleep Token experience. Also Drumeo video will not disappoint, however you need to listen first to the recorded songs played in the video

‘How do I love thee, let me count the ways’ II is a beast of a drummer and deserving of all the recognition he received at the Drumeo awards. Bringing the kit back into the front with gospel, linear style playing. Vocals, soundscapes, genre blending, lyrics, long songs that progress/move through shades of black and white. Looking forward to the deep dive and figuring out why this material is so good!

Subscribed hoping for a deep dive. I love hearing people giving more technical analysis of what sleep token are doing. Just some info moving forward the band is vessel (the singer and the guy in the mask in the video) and vessel II (or just two). II writes and performs the drum parts and vessel writes and performs literally everything else in studio. For live shows they have a bass player and guitarist (III and IV) but vessel does everything but drums for the records. I feel knowing that adds important context when listening to their music.

Lead Singer- Vessel Drummer-II Bassist-III Guitarist-IV They also have backup vocalists during live performances but they might simply be fill ins for the tours, or they just simply haven't been openly identified
