this one was one of the singles off their second album - it's definitely more formulaic so not surprised you found it underwhelming/basic! i'd recommend take me back to eden or the summoning for more unique songs (genre bending). vore is one of their heaviest. the offering or higher off their first albums are both bangers. there's just so much to get into with this band in terms of everything from vessel's lyrics (which you were touching on in your analysis!) that it's honestly hard to even rec songs
