It's the telefrag mechanic from GoS. The boss there used to teleport during certain sections of the raid which would intentionally kill you. Here if the boss gets stuck or confused it will most likely teleport near you, with the same telefrag mechanic, so if you just happen to be on top of him you will die

Nah honestly it is mostly fine where it is. It holds the niche of no set up don’t care linear, but at the cost of ammo reserves. Certain precision bosses still require this niche so it is a good one to have

Nah it would be busted. It does something no linear does... doesn't really punish you for missing crits.

Giving it fourth times will make other linears useless as sleeper will have no drawbacks then.

Why stop there, why not also give it vorpal, explosive light and rapid hit? Why have any drawbacks on any weapon at all?

it does and it is, but just throw some Solar loaders on and after about 2-3 activities you dont feel sluggish

It does have a mobility and jump height penalty. I think Acrius was the only other weapon with one and that just got changed.

@@mr.friendly7543 4th time would 2 shots back in the mag if you hit precision's, but that's still just shots from reserves, meaning your overall DPS doesn't change. With HIR, basically 50% of your overall shots from mag to reserves will do 25% extra damage. That DPS will be superior to almost anything in game besides leviathan breath atm

​@@RebelOfTheNorm242 4th doesnt reload from reserves, rather it returns (refunds) 2 ammo after landing 4 precision shots. perks that do explicitly say so. like Agers Exotic perk Rega's Refrain: "Stasis final blows transfers ammo to this weapons magazine from it's reserves" the total dmg potential with HIR (last time i used SS it was dishing ~106k per shot we'll say 100k for ease of math, thats 200k+(125k*2) which gives us 450k max 4th times would be an easy 100k*6 = 600k

Yeah, busted sleeper 4th time's meta, pog ! Nah seriously, do we really want to bury ALL other linears, while changing sleeper's role of being a forgiving linear, just to make it somewhat better ? We would break the entire dps meta, again, when it feels, to me, really close to perfectly balanced (rockets are slightly above the rest but the gap isn't that big with swords and MGs tbh, and rockets can't really do anything else than dps)

It’s tanky for soloing, but with a good team you can one phase both 🤷🏻‍♂️ of course with an lfg team these bosses are tanky 😄

No offense man but if it takes you and your ft members 4 dps phases to beat the encounter, that’s just a skill issue. If you run the right weapons for popping the eyes and use linears for main damage it should never take you more than two dps phases.

​@@snacki_6730 they still have ridiculous hp. Bungie should've added a mechanic similar to legendary difficulty where enemy HP scales with fireteam size. Dumbfounded with how it takes 6+ phases to kill Persys on normal mode for a solo flawless unless you're on starfire

You need to breach the 50% by quite a lot, and if you're too late it won't actually extend the phase.

No, he always does the blow back thing, you just need to make sure you have enough health or are far enough away to survive it. After it rinse and repeat, you get unlimited phases.

After picking up the banner with 3 scavenger mod, I swapped to 3 charged up mod, so I can easily get the 3x surge for the full phase.
