Sleeping Eagle Ray in Cozumel - VERY RARE TO SEE 

I have never seen an eagle ray do this? Was it sleeping? I saw it from a distance and it was in about 75 feet of water in Columbia Reef in Cozumel Mexico. It was just laying motionless in the sand. I actually thought it was dead until I saw the gills moving. We never know what we will see day to day in our oceans.
