Well, twitter _does_ notify you when a rando follows you by default, but considering the follower counts some people have, you can probably disable that somewhere, which I assume Wren did.

My most unique director note I ever had was: "imagine you are giving a class presentation and someone shoved a rod up your butt, and you don't want to let anyone know that you just had a rod up your butt and you have to finish your presentation." I regularly share your videos with people from my hobby filmmaking group in an effort to expand their horizons and get better at filmmaking by looking at how others do it. We only make one large project together per year and thus only have that one week annually to make mistakes ourselves. Your videos help us (I hope) to catch some of the mistakes beforehand and learn by watching.

Sam's advice on directing really reminds me of when I directed my short film a couple months ago. There's a scene where I need my guy to feel tortured and I just keep telling him to imagine his 10k-word dissertation is due next week and that he has a fever. Needless to say it worked out perfectly.

when you make your subscription pitch it might be a good idea to mention how frequently you upload videos, it's something a passer-by wont know from seeing one video but might be really keen on.
