Car electrical problems are the worst. Stuff is hard to get to. Grounds look good and they're not. Electrons do crazy things. Anyway, an independent business owner always cares more than someone just punching a clock. A guy working at a big dealership is miserable and could give a crap.

My help is named Pete the Greek. He’s down the street a European vehicle genius. Only issue is his non belief in deodorant.

TPMS omg, such a terrible system! I am NOT a mechanic. I am an IT (Information Technology) employee. Even though I work with technology, I think that the vehicles 2020 to today especially, have way too much technology on them. It has not made the roads safer, it makes the vehicle cost more money (to purchase, insure, fix and maintain), and most of all, parts can be hard to come by and diagnose issues with. I am not super handy with auto work, I have a garage I trust. However, I can walk up to my car and see if a tire is low. I can check oil level and tire pressure, basics 101. TPMS is one system I find just something to waste money. The first few years, great! Except, when it is cold out... Tire pressure low. Duh, air up in the cold! Or, when it gets old, shows tire pressure low, yet the tire is fine. Or, your driving, your tire goes flat, Hey theres a light letting me know the tire pressure is low, even though, I felt the tire go flat driving it. Now, you have to have the tires taken off, unmounted, TPMS sensors removed and new ones put on, tires remounted, balanced again, and then put back on the vehicle. This seems absurd in my opinion. I also find the big large screens on the consoles of vehicles 2020 and newer (the display) to be even more distracting than helpful. It seems like there is a large screen tv in your center console. I don't need that in my vehicle. The other annoying thing is the "sealed transmission" with "lifetime fluid". No oil / fluid lasts forever. I am not that handy so I pay my trusted mechanic to change the fluid in my sealed transmission from time to time, but I have to ask, why can't the manufacturer just put a dipstick in the transmission so people can check the fluid in the transmission easily? I want to drive a machine down the road, not a computer. Today's cars feel like you are driving a computer down the road. Finally, it is not just cars, I see this with the computer industry, ever since the virus that hit in 2020, quality is down the tubes in many things. Generators, computers, cars, clothing. Quality took a sharp dive downward in the last four years.
