Whenever I hear the introduction, it has the same effect as curling up under a blanket with a good book and a cup of hot chocolate on a cold winter night.
that's how I also feel when I watch Cju. His voice is relaxing and he is charismatic with a touch of diplomacy to it. Cju, if you see this, I've been seeking you in times of discomfort.. and you made me recalibrate myself after a few minutes. I love you, man. Keep on doing you ♥️
I just loved this demo. The dialogues are wonderful, the characters are great, the game looks really good. I liked it, I hope to see it around here when it launches!
CJU is more of the age 30+ horror fan, that doesn't have the time to play horror games themselves but still enjoy watching them be played. Not a lot of screaming or talking in stupid voices, like most other gaming channels.
I loved this video and this game. The writing also, it’s so good and I like the witty responses. Honestly this is the best voice acting in any game I’ve ever seen lol. Definitely want to see you play the full game !
Reminds me of the summers spent reading my grandfather's Reader's Digest Condensed novels. They looked stuffy and old but the mysteries sure did grab you. Love the characters. ...play it again, Sam. 🔎
This demo is so charming!! I love the style of this game. The voice acting is really good. It seems well polished already. I'm sure this game is going to be wonderful. I definitely would love to see you play the full version. 😁👍
Only about twelve minutes in but how I've been waiting for you to play more point and click games! My favorite thing from you. :) If there's a full game coming I'd love to see you play it.
This is a major throwback, but the sass from the manager/the hotel setup/thematic music kind of reminds me of Day of the Tentacle. I would adore to see this game to its completion
I would absolutely love to see more of this!! the art style is beautiful and the writing and voice acting is really good. This demo felt very flushed out and im looking forward to seeing you do a full play through of it. Loving your commentary per usual!
Casually browsing CJU's channel to see if there's any new uploads (sad there wasn't) then I went back to the main page and surprise surprise a new upload 5 minutes ago. lol
SO glad you’re playing this. THANK YOU for clicking on basically everything. I attempted another channel’s (15 min) play of this and they barely clicked on anything or cut out all the parts of the video where they did.
I'm _very_ late to the party. I agree with all the positive comments. I almost always love a game which is unique, and this one definitely qualifies. A big three thumbs up (I never implied I was "normal") for a playthrough of the full game. ツ
Not sure if there wasn't enough people wanting a full playthrough, or if maybe you forgot? In any case I'd love for you to play the full game, and I'm pretty sure from reading the comments I'm not the only one! I had actually completely forgot about this game after seeing you play the prologue when you uploaded it about 2 years ago, and just rewatched it. You seemed to enjoy playing it as much as we enjoyed watching it, and I hope you'll consider playing the full game! Also this is my first comment on any of your videos, so uh, hi :3 Been following you for a couple of years now, and I just love your videos! 💕
You know when a game is good, when you plan on watching just half of its prologue now and the other half for later.... but didn't realize that you've finished the entire video in 1 sitting and still wanted more. Hence, my answer is yes. Please do continue this one.
What a great playthrough, thanks for sharing! I'm the audio producer for Slender Threads, and I'm happy that there's still more to this prologue than you showed, it gives people a reason to play the game themselves 😁 I loved the commentary you gave, you were playing and reacting exactly how I would've hoped. I hope you're looking forward to the full game; I know WE are 😉
This looks like an absolute gem of a game! Please play this in its entirety. The voice acting is very well done, the story is interesting and it looks beautiful.
Wow! The developers have definitely embraced the spirit of classic point-and-click adventures with the dialogue and some of the puzzles in this game. Would definitely like to see a full-game playthrough.
I've been busy these past few months, it's good to watch your videos again! I missed watching your videos and I'll sure to binge watch your videos that I missed.
this game was made by the same developers of the Murder Cleaner series! I really recommed everyone to play them, very creative premise with nice atmosphere
Good job, Alex. All your audio is getting rave reviews! I like your music! lots of compliments on your casting and directing them as well! You are a good kind!❤️✨
Oh yes, play in full when it comes out. I played the prologue myself last year and LOVED it. I can’t wait for them to release the full game, but I also appreciate that they are taking their time - doing it right. The demo was flawless, and I anticipate the full game will be too. Loved your play through!!!
This game looks fantastic, and so far the way the couple jump scares work and depth with characters already... I love it! Hope to see the full playthrough by you.
I want to see the full game when it comes out! Dialogues were genius, love this kind of humour. Voice acting is great, and art style is unique. Wish the full game to be released soon!
There's a town here in Argentina called Villa Ventana, named after the neighbouring Cerro Ventana, which is a quite a famous hill with a natural opening at the top like the one in the map (ventana = window in spanish). Just googled the devs and it looks like they are argentinian as well. Cool game, love your playthroughs CJU.
32:00 CJU was wondering what time period this was set in- since Hemingway died 1961, and Harvey mentions he's still alive, this game must be set in the 40's-50's, like L.A. Noire, though I could have sworn that that car that brought Harvey to the hotel looked a bit too contemporary for that...
all i can say is... i really wanna see the full version, everything else has already been said, this is so good, also each character is so full of charm and personality,
First video I've watched from you. Didn't know you existed! Your walk-thru was very enjoyable, as was the game. I'd love to see the completion when it releases. =)
This was quite fun to watch. The dialogue and the interactions are enjoyable to go through and it definitely calls upon my want to just mess with people and see how many times I can get poor Harvey in a bind. XD
Whether a good or bad game, CJ makes each hilarious. When he's taking the protagonist to task or running away from the monster, his insight is refreshing! Thanks CJU for being you and bringing laughter to a working stiff like me.
I loved this game to the point where after watching it for 2 minutes I paused this video, installed the game, played it myself and came back here to enjoy your commentary! What I loved the most is the really funny dialogues you get when you make a wrong decision on purpose! For example: I gave the City Hall Clerk the realtor's badge without attaching Harvey's photo on it to see what happens and this is how the dialogue went: -Clerk: This doesn't look like you at all... -Harvey: Err, I had work done.. -Clerk: You had work done to look like THIS??? Lol! Loved it! Of course added it to my Wishlist immediately.
I'm glad you felt compelled to try stuff like that! I'm the audio producer for this game, and I'm happy to say this playthrough shows less than half of the dialogue in the prologue! He also solved the puzzle so quickly he didn't hear the later part of the puzzle music. There is replay value even in just the prologue 😁👌🏻
@@AlexWalkerSmith Exactly! That's why I spoke to the construction worker at the dead end like 12 times or something cuz every time he gave me a different reply! Plus he was getting annoyed cuz I kept bugging him to hear what he says next! So entertaining! You are brilliant at what you do. Counting the days for the full game!
@@annak8109 I love that construction worker character! The voice actor, G Chadwick Cook, improvised all those extra lines. I just asked him to make stuff up for if the player clicks on him again. 😆 Thanks so much, I'm glad you're liking the game!
This is really good! I love the humor in it. It reminds me of a game I played ages ago about a guy that gets mixed up with the Knights Templar, it was point and click like this.
this is great! funny that when you were trying to talk through the door it reminded me of that other game in the hotel running away from the crazy hotel owner
Oh, I would love to see you continuing that of course! And the style and writing reminds of a good old Monkey Island series and I always love to play some old-time point&click.
Very late to the game, but 100% would love to see your full playthrough of it. This is extremely charming and polished, and I'm very attached to the characters already.
Oh my golly gosh! The realtor is Stan from Monkey Island, he's even wearing his terrible jacket! I'll bet the closet-show will end up like the thing with the coffin-demonstration in Monkey Island 2 for Mister Moretti, hehe...
