26:50 Fun fact, that glitch where you fire Mario into the chair and clip below the beach is actually only possible if your wii is in Widescreen mode. If it's in Standard 4:3 you can't aim far left enough.

Coming back to this video over a year later, Gray really should have done that certain glitch. The one where you go to the place and do the thing, and that happens? Yeah. Would have been a great addition to the video.

In my last playthrough (and first in years), I tried to finish the game, but using as many speedrun tricks as I could, with an emulator and a shit ton of save states. To name a few, I : • Skipped the entirety of the first honeyhive star by sliding on dem trees. • In the part where he skips part of the way using a cannon (around 2:45 ?), I skipped a bit more than that by launching on the platform. • On every airship that had them, I skipped the octopi guarding the way. • In the galaxy with the shrinking side planet and the boat in a cave, I did some precise cannon strats to skip most of the level. • In beach bowl galaxy, and this is one of my favorites, I skipped the entirety of the first level by using a palm tree and some crazy jumps. • Skipped the loopdeloop in loopdeswoop. • Used spring mario exactly 0 times. In my 100% run. It was the most fun I had in a long time. Also, if you want to know where I found the tricks, I think the website is called speeddemosarchive.

I just got 3d all stars and I'm just defying Nintendo in every way I can in galaxy. They patched the backwards long jump, so I went to the Mario game I'm strongest at to take my revenge! (And they didn't even patch the slope glitch!) So far I've: skipped some "forced" tutorial dialogue, activated the teleporter on top of the observatory before even entering the terrace, gotten on top of the terrace, jumped on top of the house in good egg for all three stars, went down to the 1-up in the pill planet through the upwards gravity, skipped the blue star chips on star 2, and avoided rescuing all toads. I'm currently working on the biggest sequence break in the game: Skipping the entirety of Honeyhive's star 1. It's taking a while, but I've came close!

The only glitch in this video that I did as a kid, minus the one at the end with the "backflipping rocks". 3:23 I always liked doing that as a kid. 4:56 I always tried wall jumping between those long slabs as a kid, but I could never get as high as you did, so I gave up and assumed you couldn't "cheat" the game and do it. Apparently, I was wrong.
