That bike looks WAY better with the black side panels and fork guards. One trick to help shim up fork clamps like those is to cut out a strip of soda can to use as a shim. Works really well.
I think so, There were certain things I really didn't like on this bike, This was at the top of the list. The speedo stinks also. That's a good Idea, If this fails to hold I'll give it a shot.
