Perfect timing on this video Rowland, have been thinking of making a catch box for a while. Just got hold of a brand new slightly damaged wheely bin this afternoon, so that’s the weekend project sorted out. Have got a load of climbing rope off cuts I’m going to use hanging down at the front to take some of the sting out and some scaffolding netting as the final stop. Hopefully the weather will be dry up here on Anglesey 🤞this weekend

They ain't worth having the cheqp ones for how long they last are they. Better off making one before buying the cheap ebay ones 👊👍

@@rowlandoutdoors5992 it was illegal to have in my country (Belgium) for many years. Recently a law change made it back possible. I can purchase one now,just looking around what would be good to have, Have to learn a lot,any suggestions? I have to order one online,no slingshot stores around here .

@sosteve9113 that's awesome they changed thaw law so you can have them, I don't know what the postage would be but I can't recommend wasp slingshots highly enough, the uniphoxx and the Enzo are absolutely brilliant or starting out in my honest opinion 👍👊

What is in the back to stop the ammo from bouncing out? I made a box, and I’ve tried foam, or hanging towels, but because it’s for indoor, I guess the speed is too high and half bounce back out.

Heavy duty "TF-2 Mesh Fabric" is what I bought and used, you should be able to find it on ebay putting that into the search bar 👊👍

@@rowlandoutdoors5992 Does it just hang loose, or how do you attach it? I’m thinking of sticking a sort of bag or sack, so they’ll just fall into the bottom and be easy to remove.

@jimf1964 I just fold it over a string so it's 2 layers, hold it in place with pegs and make sure it is hanging lose and not dragging on the bottom of the catch box, it works best when it's hanging freely to absorb the energy/impact and stop the ammo dead instead of transferring energy to allow a bounce out 👍

@@rowlandoutdoors5992 Interesting. I’ve been trying that with towels, and burlap, but nothing works. I’ll order that stuff tonight and try it. Thanks! I just started after Xmas, and don’t shoot a ton, but like 50 shots, every other day, and have found it to be a good cheap replacement for other shooting sports, like traditional bow, and firearms. None of those I can do while watching tv! 😀
