old school is not good by itself, but has advantages to install hardcore stuffs like locking differential, body-up, lifted up suspensions etc...

This ended up as expected. Open duffs are problematic in most situations when loss of traction occurs from a stand still.

Lada has 3 differentials so it has better handling on wet roads when you drive with central diff. open (this is a big advantage because with Frontera you are obliged to use 2H in order to avoid to damage the transmission) obviously but when you lose traction in one wheel of both different axles you cannot move ... it is the same situation of Frontera old Jimny and so on ...a car with 3 diff with central diff. locked it is the same of 2 diff. car (without central diff. ) .. if you don't have a locking sistem on rear diff. or front diff you cannot move without electronic ABS sistems.....

I really think it would be cool if you could take some of these on an off road course test too, see both clinical tests and real world testing

Old school 4x4's these are great off roaders but needs some driver correct input and skills to keep all wheels on the ground and use momentum 👍

Fit front and rear axle lockers and these 2 cars will utterly destroy the plastic nonsense they try to pass as 4WDs nowadays. All that money and tech and somehow they managed to move 4WD performance and technology backwards.

нива удивила)) а может этот бесполезный тест с роликами удивил. Ведь проходимость нивы легендарна без преувеличений.
