Eloy Big House is the truth. I’ll admit I was pissed but Shawn Crahan was right. Dude knew what he was doing. I thought he was an asshole for firing Jay but now I’m like ohhhh ok I get it.
Well, sorry but no, not exactly the same... Jay was surely a good drummer, but Eloy is another level: the power, intensity and precision... the anger on those drums! wow :D
greyson nekrutman is much better than the two with speed, groove and stamina. he is a jazz player but shifted to metal. eloy said he is scared of playing jazz.
It was planned a year ago, maybe years ago. Hire a drummer. A top notch drummer, let fans discredit him, sack him, hire Estepario/Eloy, actually, first idea was Estepario, then promote the fuck out first live shows and here were are. Slipknot is alive again
Slipknot is dead! Drummer with no long hair way different style of drumming. Craig gone. Jay gone. Jay had the closest style of drumming to Joey jordison as possible. Chris gone. Kick Joey jordison out for no reason all based on assumptions. So sad I'll focus on mudvayne! 💯
I respect your opinion but I don’t agree. Jay was not close to the style of Joey. Not even close. Jay had no creativity, way to repetitive and was horrible when doing fast double bass. Eloy may not have the long hair we are used to seeing which honestly is silly to nit pick on that or have the crazy head banging Joey used to do but the speed and aggression he is bringing is the same I used to see in Joey when I saw them back in the self title album days all the way to subliminal verses. This is very similar to the old days, maybe shittier songs now but the drums are spot on and now Im actually looking forward in seeing them live
Considering two of them died, to have 3 of 9 original members and 2 more since the mid-90s and nearly 30 years into the band is more than enough, especially considering the job they have. GTFO out of here like Mudvayne is doing any better. They didn’t perform for 10+ years.
