I have tried to understand this concept for long. Later lost interest at some point. But, this explaination about slip/grip clutch system was really helpful. And I congratulate you on receiving the silver RU-vid button as well.

How does a slipper/assist clutch differ from a rekluse clutch? So if a beginner’s shifting is kind of rough, the slipper and assist clutch will prevent the rear wheel from locking up. that is actually a good thing that you explained that I learned since I am a beginner rider. during my MSS, smooth braking was a challenge for me because when I would brake smoothly, I would stall but when I would brake roughly I wouldn’t stall. But the fear of owning a manual bike and stalling when I come to a stop and pull away from a stop is a real fear that lives with me because it happened almost all the time at mss. I know it could be reduced over time but if there is a helpful item out there like the slipper assist clutch that can help with that then why not just look for a bike that has that from the start. Sounds like it can help with rough up and down shifting as well to prevent a stall and what not. I am wondering if a rekluse clutch can do the same things as a slipper assist clutch. the rekluse clutch will eliminate stalls when you’re doing stop and go type stuff, plus you can takeoff and accelerate from a stop without having to shift. But I’m wondering how it handles up and down shifts, will it prevent the rear wheel from locking like the slip or assist clutch will? that’s what I’d like to know.

People say that not rev matching while using the slipper clutch will wear it out faster? but a slipper clutch is specially designed for that purpose and its a wet clutch too so it wont.
Thank you for describing it so far. But still one doubt so is that sliper clutch stops once it slips until rematch with the Engine RPM or slips continuously again and again until it rematch with the engine RPM ?
Is it good to install slipper clutch into other bikes.eg fz 250. because other models from Yamaha like r15 come with slipper clutch and is it possible to install that clutch into fz25
How about assist clutch? does it makes the clutch harder when u are reving then tried to pull the clutch? Because u said it pull the pressure plate automatically when you are accelerating

This means slipper clutch are very prone to wear and tear... They must also produce a lot of heat due to friction. If I am right, what is life expectancy of a slipper clutch on an average
Hi Amit . I am a huge admirer of all your reviews ..they are the best ,in hindi as well as english . In my interceptor . I do not get a desired speed range in first gear compared to the rpms, Also i notice a lag and clunk sound while engaging gear ..it,s not too bad but noticeable and happens on hilly roads when i want to shift to next gear . Could it be a clutch plate issue . I am a vey careful rider and i dont abuse the machine . Prior to this i used to ride a royal enfield 350 for 15 years . The the intwrceptor 65p has nice pickup when i ride it first time on a colder engine, compared to the pickup when the engine is sufficiently warmed up after 7-8 kms. Could all this be a clutch plate issue ?

@motoroids @02.33, excuse me but its called the disengagement of clutch while u pull the clutch lever.... The clutch is already engaged when the clutch lever remains untouched..... These silly mistakes can make other.. Think "aae isko phele khud sikhna chahiye and all, age dekh ke kya karenge" So plz go through the script thoroughly.. The camera, the setup isn't everything.. And knowledge itself is worthless.. If ut isn't right.. We Indians these silly mistakes very often, I myself am not(i cannot speak well infront of camera both in hindi and English) .. Nobody is but we can make those little changes which will make the content more precise!
Hey motoroids plzz help me with this. I have a bajaj dominar and it has been a year since i baught it but i m facing an issue. When i m in gear and apply throttle the rpms move fast but the speed doesn't. I went to bajaj for fixing my vibration n gear noise issue but instead when the service war done after a few days , this issue came up. This issue wasn't there before i gave my bike to the service centre. The bajaj service guys say there is no issue in the bike even though i demonstrated them this clearly. I tried contacting bajaj online but they r not getting back. All they say is your issue will be resolved within 24 hrs and we will give u a call. I dont know what to do now . plzz help me out .
sir do you thing we need slipper clutch in 155cc, 200cc, 250 cc bikes??? its not needed really people are just making loud sound by down shifting and annoying people... these small bikes are bought by college boys and they are making sh** ... they should know how to ride before getting those slipper clutch ...
