Slips and Falls: A Message to Professional Truck Drivers features Kirk Wilson, an in-house Wilson Logistics employee, who randomly decides to become an over-the-road truck driver. In this comedy, you'll notice that Kirk didn't receive the proper training to become a truck driver. While shooting a video for his upcoming RU-vid channel, Kirk doesn't use proper technique getting out of the truck, and he isn't wearing proper footwear. This causes Mr. Wilson to take a pretty bad spill out of his Freightliner and hilarity ensues. Wilson Logistics teaches our CDL students and professional truck drivers to use three points of contacts when getting in and out of their truck. Drivers should also be wearing slip-resistant and closed toed shoes while trucking. Professional truck drivers are just that, professionals, and the best focus on safety at all times. Nothing is more important than safety, and we always wish our drivers safety while out on the road.

Is it because I love Kirk so much or is this really as funny as I thought it was? I love it, the next Burt Reynolds in the making! Haley, you are such a lucky lady.

That's exactly right! He also didn't use 3 points of contact and climbed out of the truck forwards instead on backwards.

I wonder how much a wound and injury makeup artist costs. Though these days it could probably be done just as well in editing. I wonder how much a professional video editor and CG artist costs.

I get so sick of people coming out of there trucks with sweat pants, rubber shower shoes, sweat pants hanging off there butt, look like they just got up from the rack and waiting in line for there breakfast in the county jail. I know I use to be a Detention officer/deputy. A lot of these truck drivers look like the inmates I use to supervise. I believe if truckers are caught dressing like a slob they should be fired. Why? Because they are representing a companies image! What happened to the good old days of a uniform or some nice jeans, flannel, nice work boots? Instead everyone is looking like inmates from the county jail. To me it’s really sickening to see the low self esteem and the attitude of rebellion in this industry. Know wonder the trucking industry can't get ahead. They should fire those who can't act like a real truck driver and wants to act like an inmate.

Are you really that worried about corporate image or do you just not like anybody who doesn't do what YOU think they should do? I mean, why are you so obsessed with how other people look? You're not a CO any more. You're not a DI. None of these people are in the Marines or the county jail. They're free to do whatever the hell they want and if their companies don't like it their companies will deal with it. And by the way: times change. Try to keep up. In survival school they call it "adapt or perish." It's not a bad principle for how to go through life. Just like the Golden Rule.
