I just commented on another song that Sloan has nowhere near the fame they deserve. They've been putting out consistently great music for over 30 years. Four singers, four songwriters, great musicians. They're the Canadian Beatles, in my opinion.
i've seen them countless times over the years (roadied one show even on the navy blues tour, side note ... the giant 4 was made of plywood and light sockets ... it weighed a million lbs) ... anyway, its hit or miss what they play at any show... when you have a huge catalogue, you can do what you want.

@@Seizurebleak I'm willing to bet the guys in 54-40 are "nicer" people than the boys in Sloan, but I literally asked the guitar player in 54-50 one night having randomly bumped into him, and I presented that question to him. Who would he vote for between his band and Sloan, and like the coolest kid in school, he said Sloan. I personally think Sloan has better songs and more of them.
This song and video seems half-fast by Sloan standards....I do like If It Feels Good and other HITS. Sounds critical of California...for no real valid reason. California is great.
