A little tribute to one of my favourite combinations of organ and organist - Everett Nourse and the 4/36 Wurlitzer of the Fox Theatre, San Francisco. It was these recordings that first got me hooked on this sound as a boy, and I still listen to them now.
This is my transcription of Everett Nourse's rendition of Slowpoke, played my myself on the Paramount 450

I spent many a day in the SF Fox Theatre while in the Navy at Treasure Island. Was at the George Wright concert trying to save the theatre. Beautiful theatre now gone. Thanks for the memories.

the "intermission style" of the 1940's. I love it and play mostly in that style. Nice playing, Iain.

Memories of hearing Everett Nourse and George Wright at that organ will never be forgotten.

I have always enjoyed Everett's playing. He was recommended for the job at the Fox by George Wright. I had the honor of working on the former Fox organ when it was reinstalled at the El Capitan Theatre.

How about do “San Francisco open your golden gates.”? It was the last song played at the fox and Nourse’s rendition sounded great.

This song sounds like it was written the same day as, 'Did You Ever See A Dream Walking' - Did You Ever See A Dream Walking? (1933)

THE Hauptwerk Paramount 450 comes very close to the SF Fox in this recording of Everett Nourse's last recording on the Fox its difficult to tell the difference under Iain's capable hands here ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-UJ9ByzRjSv8.html

What is the name of the rank playing on the 2nd keyboard starting from the top (idk if it's the swell keyboard)
@MonteCarlotta

The name of that rank is English Horn (authentic stop-tab engraving), sometimes known as Post Horn by organ enthusiasts. It has fire & brilliance so as to stand out as a solo stop, like a very assertive trumpet. The names for the manuals (keyboards) for this Wurlitzer theatre organ (top-down) are: SOLO, BOMBARDE, GREAT, ACCOMPANIMENT, and of course, PEDAL for the pedals.
