Ah, I grew up with them. My brothers and I must've beaten the 2nd and 3rd games like 5+ times each in the 00s. My last playthrough of the trilogy was... damn, like almost 4 years ago now? I'm amazed by the fact everyone found a way to take the non-content of Sly 1's story and make something out of it Sly 2 and 3 have way more story going on, so they probably would be easier to dub, but they certainly would lack the absurdly dumb charm of the "Bentley's Papers" arc

Ok I love the concept that for some unknown reason the literal embodiment of truth decided to conceal the fact that not only were George Washington and Ben Franklin both woman but lesbian lovers to boot and has been stocking sly coopers ancestors for generations, later formed a team of villains to steal slys book of a made up language killing his parents in the process and switched sly's friends minds all because he was bored....it makes no sense yet it probably the funniest part of the dub

I think more people like the SA2 fandub because that game already had a pretty messy story and wonky English voice over work, so redubbing the characters to say random or stupid things makes it more entertaining. Sly on the other has a fairly well told story, along with good voice acting, so making a silly fandub doesn’t seem quite as entertaining. Also the Sonic series has sort of become a big meme over the years so any videos on youtube about it are going to get more views naturally.

Its the fact that Sonic goes above and beyond and it gets to absurd levels with its story (which is a good thing cuz you feel the stakes and cool ass crazy shit happens as well as great character moments. At least before 2010). However because of its absurdity, its a lot easier to cherrypick and meme it
